Rogue Rollout

It's Yahtzee with Buffs / Debuffs. Each round you finish alternates between receiving a powerup to enhance your dice or multiplier, and getting a "powerdown" that will cripple you in some way going forward. I love the artwork/titles for each ability (although the descriptions are incredibly small to read). For some reason, I can't put my finger on it, but there seems to be something missing - it has an aesthetic to it but I think it's lacking some personal character. The artwork of the powerups don't match the general neon-feel of the game, and I think the powerups have the better style, whereas the neon-look seems to be missing something that brings me back in. Examples: Think of Balatro, Dungeons & Degenerates, Luck be a Landlord, etc - they all have a particular feel and atmos to them that I think this one needs to grab. Aside from that rant, it's a fun game.

Really like the roguelite approach to Yahzee. I do wish the # of stages to clear can be reduced for earlier difficulty, so it wouldn't be so discouraging that you gained nothing after a long session. 42 stages seems a bit much.

As a fan of both Yahtzee and roguelike games, I found this fusion in Rogue Rollout intriguing, though it comes with its set of strengths and weaknesses. Cons: ❌ Simplistic Core Gameplay: While accessible, the basic core gameplay may lack depth for players seeking a more complex experience. ❌ Underwhelming Visuals: The game's graphics are modest and somewhat jarring, which might not appeal to those who prioritize visual aesthetics. ❌ Repetitive Progression: Despite the variety of challenges, the core loop can feel repetitive over time, potentially diminishing long-term engagement. Rogue Rollout offers an enjoyable blend of dice-rolling and strategic planning, catering to fans of both casual and roguelike genres. Score: 7 out of 10 dice rolls—a solid game for quick sessions, especially for those who appreciate strategic dice games.

I wish I could vote for multiple games as "Best game you suck at" cause this is up there.

This game is a must for Dice Game enthusiast. Modifiers are different twist to the family loved Yahtzee game. I am enjoying it.

Fun little game to kill some time during queues or while watching a vid.
