The developers are involved in some really scummy stuff. First, before the early access released in 2022, they constantly teased people with gameplay, and constantly delayed the release, leading to most of the hype dying off. Then, they released it in a pretty broken state, and immediately abandoned the game for years. The VR mode, which was teased as an update to the main game, was eventually released years later, but under a different title ("My Robot"), on a different platform (Meta), and for $25. At some point, the store images were replaced with misleading, AI generated images (this was before Steam required disclosure of AI). 8 months ago, I posted on their subreddit to express my frustration with the game's development. Of course, the developers neither replied nor acknowledged this ever. Today, 8 months after my post, I suddenly got banned from the entire subreddit without warning, by a moderator who is obviously affiliated with the developers. This was done in an obvious attempt at burying all negative opinions on the game, before they release the "update" tomorrow, which will likely consist of them clicking on "leave early access", and nothing else. TLDR; RoboCo devs suppressing opinions, using AI, breaking promises. Don't buy.

The game itself is good, The robotics parts are done well and interact nicely and intuitively with one another. The challenges are all fun and unique. The problem I have is the current development status of the game. Namely, that there isn't really one. We've not heard anything from the devs in a year and a half so its fairly safe to assume that development has been put on hold (perhaps indefinitely). I find this lack of transparency rather annoying, as this game is still in early access with many annoying bugs that still need squashed. If you want the game, go ahead, but be warned that this game stands a very good chance of never receiving another update, let alone being finished. Update: According to a post on their Discord server from August, they're looking at releasing the 1.0 update for RoboCo sometime near the end of 2025. Why they haven't posted something on Steam to give us some signs of life is beyond me, but there ya go. You can probably expect an update in the next month or so.
VR was abandoned along with Early Access in general. This games 1.0 released out of nowhere after months and months of nothing. At least it is cheaper now.
Appears to be abandoned in Early Access. Too bad, it had potential.
Way better editor now compared to before, not sure when they added microcontrollers but the giga nerds would probably love that as well makes it a bit more stormworks. Style is cute definitely feels like it's own thing.
Really good game about the design and creation of robots! You can create everything from a robot vacuum cleaner to a Terminator!
Game no longer works, Bad devs, and no updates.
сначала подкмал что простенький детский конструктор, а оказалось что на самом деле очень много всяких фич но есть один минус так как нету подсказок для самих уровней потому что иногда рил сложно додуматься как пройти определенный уровень
The game is good. Creative fun. The dev did promise VR mode though, and he hasn't honored his promise. Personally it's the reason why I haven't played more of it. I think it will be a great fit for VR. There's even a VR version for Meta headsets so it's frustrating. Still this will be a positive review despite that, because it's a fun game.
