They could've went the easy way simply repeating the same kind of gameplay but they decided to try something else. Honestly I'm glad they did, this made this game quite unique while offering a good extension to the story at the same time. I saw some heavy criticism about the surfing parts, but they are surprisingly entertaining visually, and they help a lot with the pacing. Honestly there ain't the same level of creativity in those mobile games it's being compared to. Overall the story, the vibes and the soundtrack were enough to make it enjoyable to play through anyway. I don't think it deserved the hate it received initially. Even if it's different, it's a good follow up to the previous game.
its a decent game I didn't like the minigames at the start but it 100% grew on me not as good as the first road 96 game but still a decent game

basically a glorified subway surfer with road 96 coat of paint attached to it. So if you like subway surfers, this is a game for you, because this is not an game for road 96 fans
