Rival Stars Horse Racing: Desktop Edition

Over all I liked the game. Even though at first it seems very similar to a phone game it gets better. The races are pretty fun, there are a lot of different challenges, types of competition (not just races, but cross-country, steeple chase, jumping and also free roam). The story is typical to this kind of games. The animation is very good (compared to other horse games). The only thing that would make this game better is if we could actually walk around our ranch and talk to people instead of just skipping pop up dialogues like in hidden objects games. I really enjoy the routine stuff in other games like cleaning the padlocks, washing horses, cleaning hooves etc. But this stuff is missing here unfortunately. I’d recommend this game to people who love horse games and enjoy looking at pretty good animated horses.

I'm going to refund this. It's just the mobile phone game, but with the F2P elements removed... and that's not entirely a bad thing, but the gameplay loop is just lazy (your standard mobile F2P game grind). The racing is enjoyable but too easy, and the other modes (crosscountry, jumping, etc) are just ok. I might as well just stick with PS2's Gallop Racer series.

I wanted to like this game, the trailer and images made it seem like it was up my alley. But there were just a few things that made me really not like the game much. When choosing your character, there's only 8 character models and no customization. And somehow they managed to be both deep in the uncanny valley and extremely ugly. Any time the human came up I was clicking as fast as possible to make it go away. The controls are also bad. When racing or riding you can only use A or D, and to sprint you press the space bar. But it's never clear if you press and hold, or constantly click, so maneuvering is a pain. Last, I'm not sure what this game originated from, but I am getting massive mobile game with microtransaction vibes. So many essential features like the marketplace and breeding are time locked, and you can speed up the process by spending money. That one just really rubbed me the wrong way, even though it did not cost real money the fact that sort of structre was still there just turned me off of the game.

Ich wollte es mir mehr zum Spaß ansehen weil eine Freundin es im Discord gestreamt hat. War direkt mit drin und hab es in nicht ganz 5 Tagen durch gespielt. Ich wünsche mir mehr Content, das Spiel hat so viel Potential! Tolle Pferdemodels, schöne Fellmuster und ein echt cooles Genetic-System! Die Rennen und Springturniere sind auch Spaßig! Meine Wünsche: Mehr Story, mehr Aufgaben! Training das ich beeinflussen kann. Es kann gerne das Auto-Training bleiben aber es wäre cool wenn man es auch manuell machen könnte und dafür vielleicht ein paar Boni bekäme! Es sollte Dressur-Wettbewerbe geben! Würde sich sehr anbieten! Ich fände es auch toll wenn man die Pferde pflegen könnte damit sie sich lebendiger anfühlen. Füttern, Bürsten, Waschen, Hufeauskratzen und so weiter wäre echt ne tolle erweiterung! Charakterzüge für die Pferde wären auch gut. Wenn sie schon Präverenzen haben in welcher Position sie lieber laufen, wäre es schön wenn sie Charaktere hätten. Sowas wie scheu, selbstbewusst, unsicher und so weiter!
