Risk of Rain is an action platformer with roguelike elements. With permanent death as a primary feature, players will have to play their best to get as far as possible. Fight on a mysterious planet with randomly spawning enemies and bosses, either alone or with 3 friends in online co-op.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Goated game that laid the foundations for my roguelike addiction. Still play it here and there even with RoR2 being out because sometimes 2D platformers are a nice change of pace. Glass + Sacrifice Artifact combo can lead to OP runs. 10/10
Barely played for an hour, hated every second of it. Painfully slow early game, no desire to see the late game. I played the sequel much more, and that wasn't fun to me either. A boring and scaled down version of a bad game. Worst kind of roguelike. All success is based entirely on chance, bosses are obnoxious skill checks, items actively give downgrades, the main character isn't fun to play (And I don't want to unlock anything else). Now the game has expanded its privacy policy to the point where it's getting uncomfortable. The art is weak. I have no reason to play this.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 10: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

highkey like this game more than ror2. yeah im so quirky and different and unqiue
The music alone is worth it.
It is a classic of the roguelike genre at this point, but the second part is much better. It still has the depth, interesting skills, synergies and awesome music, but the overall frame of the game is less polished. This one feels a lot harder at times, but the frustrating kind of hard mostly, not about lack of skill, but rather getting outnumbered and outgunned with virtually no way to break through a wall once you get to one. I did not enjoy the runs very much outside of COOP once I did 100% the game.
i can only play this game.
RNG: The Game Most roguelikes give you SOME choice on how to build your character. This game gives you almost none. You take anything you can get. You lose when the game gives you bad items, and you win when it gives you good ones. If you get the command artifact then you have 100% choice and it's barely a rogue-like at that point. I don't recommend this game, but I am still glad I played it. (Awesome soundtrack by the way.) I feel like I learned a lot about what I like and dislike from roguelikes. I'm excited to try the next one.
