Rising storm 2 is a very unique game. Even to the series it stems from it's quite unique to the games that came before it in terms of the atmosphere it creates, it ditches the more miserable and war movie feel of the older games that a lot of people liked and instead delves deep into the "fortunate son" aesthetic with electric guitars, napalm and cheesy Hollywood one liners. Does that mean it's worse than the older games? Not really, it's just different and i think it excels in the atmosphere it creates, it knows what it wants to be and it doesn't market itself as otherwise. As for the gameplay it is pretty damn good, asymmetrical warfare was explored in rising storm 1 but rising storm 2 takes it to a whole new level, what i particularly enjoy about it is that when you play as the north Vietnamese forces, despite having less firepower i never feel like I'm being set up to lose, it actually makes things interesting and it's fun to use the less conventional weapons and tactics. The servers are an issue considering there's about 2 active ones now since this game was abandoned just like saigon in 1975 so good luck finding active games, don't buy it at full price but consider it if it's on sale, good game. 7.5/10

Wish I played this game sooner its really fun. Makes me regret not having a pc when this game was at its peak.
