Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

>hop on the game >choose some random guy stuck in the forests of idk shaanxi >dont know what to do >recruit more poorly trained peasants >1 rifle per 10 people >embark on a great expedition all the way to Beijing >forgot to pay soldiers, they stage a munity, I get defeated and forced to seek refuge in a house by a random peasant >some guy invites me to a banquet and i get killed
Instead of writing about the game mechanics or UI/graphics (which, according to a lot of players, needs improvement) or whatnot, I'd instead like to share a story from one of my playthroughs, the tale of qinghai: >at first don't care about it at all, qinghai is and always will be unsavable >some bandits popped in my famine-ridden districts, gotta get rid of em >i'll pay you $50 to ♥♥♥♥ off into qinghai and also conquer some land for the glory of gansu >place bandits under the command of my statesman character, beelines straight for xining >hey, this conquering thing is pretty easy, let's take a security zone around xining and leave it at that >statesman gets declared qinghai governor, immediately begins reforms in the capital only because the rest is under hostile control >things are finally looking up for qinghai, or at least the part that i have >missionaccomplished.jpg >rebels immediately begin spawning across the rural areas because i didn't invest into ending the famines there >also, i'm very sure i pissed off the monks somehow >don't worry, we've got a handle on this >immediately begins spawning troops to solve qinghai, we're taking the ENTIRE damn province this time >neglects developing my provinces in order to move around soldiers >encirclement campaigns are actually successful, even managed to eliminate the red ma warlord that annoyed me so much >but it isn't enough, rebels keep spawning even as i try to send food relief >some spirit soldiers take over the capital, immediately undoing all my half-finished reforms >send multiple tiny armies at it, they all fail because apparently will is stronger than bullets >the situation in the province is now even worse than when i started the intervention >am now qinghai governor in name only >missionaccomplished.jpg >qinghai is and always will be unsavable >at least i got a snazzy title out of it 10/10 would enter qinghanistan again it says something about the quality and the depth of the game that i got sucked into that sort of situation naturally, and that's just one of the many emergent stories you'll find in Rise of the White Sun. Extremely addictive and worth picking up if you're at all interested in the Chinese warlord era!

seems like an interesting and in-depth strategy game with tons of historical accuracy. unfortunately from what little i played i bounced off it pretty hard, the UI is terrible and needs too many clicks, not enough information is given even with the reports you get, like why did my army suddenly move away from the city it was at? is it due to low loyalty? what is vitality meant to represent? how can i tell if my cities are growing each turn? im guessing soup kitchens closing is bad, but can i quickly see some reports on the raw numbers? i didn't even figure out that having multiple characters means you can do multiple different things in one turn until i did it by accident. it also is somewhat buggy, i had the intro text on one level loop 4 times before starting, and generally even things like the options menu look extremely unpolished and unfinished. for a cheap $5 early access game all this would be excusable but this seems to be fully released and currently costs $30 full price or $15 on sale in my currency. for comparison, completely different genre and maybe not an entirely fair comparison but i paid that much for persona 3 and got a very well polished 100+hr game.
welcome to the warlord era:)
I think is good
好玩
