Rise of the Ronin

Probably my favorite Team Ninja ARPG. I used to be one of those ninja gaiden players that can't stand action games with stamina bars. But this game actually changed my perspective and opened me up to other similar ARPGs. The combat in this game is really unique. The game actually has really fast paced offense/defense switching. From aggressive attacks to countersparking in between. It really is something when it clicks. Only problem is that counterspark is too overpowered (with no downsides) and is accessible from start of game. Whille other offensive options are locked to late game or new game plus, forcing the player to play a parry game. With the strict timings, it can become very frustrating in the bginning. We can see that Team Ninja put a lot of effort into this game, so many characters got unique models. It is a shame that this game didn't get better recognition.
