Rigid Force Alpha

Rigid Force Alpha has nice graphic and a really good soundtrack. That's where the positives end for me. Among the list of things Rigid Force Alpha does badly is that [b]enemies fly past way to fast.[/b] You barely started the game and first thing is a formation of 5 enemies and below them a power-up. Both fly so fast over the screen that you have hardly time to shoot [i]all[/i] enemies in the formation [b]and[/b] the power-up ship. The whole game feels like it runs to fast for its own sake, with enemies that need several shots to die. Another thing I strongly dislike is the fact that [b]explosion effects hide bullets.[/b] So you shoot down the formation of 5 enemies and one of them shoots a projectile which you don't see because of the explosions of the ships you hit. Suddenly a projectile comes flying out and hit you, nice! Then once you have the satellite that supposedly blocks enemy bullets... like in R-Type but you [i]still get hit[/i] from frontal bullets that fly in a strait line towards you supposedly hitting the satellite. In all the R-Type games I played(R-Type 1, 2, 3 and Delta) that never happened [b]once[/b]to me. Also when you die you just re-spawn [b]immediately with zero equipment.[/b] You don't even [i]drop[/i] at least [i]some[/i] of your previous power-ups on dying... [b]you just get catapulted right back where you just where... all naked.[/b] When I compare Rigid Force Alpha to literally [b]any[/b] Arcade game I ever played... [b]none[/b] is as "harsh" as Rigid Force Alpha, which at this point feels not balanced right. [b]But don't let my opinion stop you from trying it out yourself, possible you like it more then I did.[/b]
