Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 27 → 5/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
You’re not just running a video rental store.
You’re running out of time.
RUN THE WORLD'S LAST VIDEO RENTAL STORE
You’ve inherited the last video rental store in town. You're broke, drowning in late returns, and streaming giant RentNet just opened across the street.
Run your store by day.
Do whatever it takes to survive by night.
The longer you stay in business, the more chaotic things become.
Order movies, snacks, toys, and rare collectibles. Stock shelves, manage customers, and expand your store from a dying shop into a thriving business.
Hire employees, automate operations, and optimize every inch of your store.
Every decision determines whether you survive another week.
Oh and did we mention we have PLENTY of store customization options?
The store alone isn’t enough.
Run underground fight clubs. Gamble on scratcher tickets. Install a claw machine. Take on shady side hustles across the city.
Some will make you rich.
Some will ruin you.
Produce and release your own original films to compete with RentNet.
Manage production, release films, and turn your store into something far bigger than a rental shop.
Explore a low-poly open city by foot or scooter. Discover secrets, track NPC schedules, and unlock increasingly dangerous and lucrative opportunities.
Run the store alone or with friends in co-op multiplayer. PLEASE NOTE: Co-op is temporarily disabled in the main build due to performance instability. Saves you create now will be co-op compatible when it returns.
To play co-op today, switch to the Legacy branch (right-click the game in your Library → Properties → Betas → "Legacy"), which runs the June build and your older saves.
Restoring co-op is our top priority. Timeline to follow here and in our Discord once 1.0 hotfixes settle.
Divide responsibilities, expand faster, and take bigger risks together.

Fun - for short periods. Bought near release date and honestly- this game seems to be getting worse/buggier with every passing update. They've added some cool features but I do notice my game (and my partners) will crash more/bug out/have to be restarted. The AI employees make every task 100x more difficult and I find myself walking around stocking/tidying/fixing their mess for so long that I get bored and usually call it a night. Love the idea- love some of the gameplay/items and tasks- but it does just feel like clocking in to a shift and I don't find it at all relaxing or very chill. Once you've advanced far enough- it does just seem like a passive background game until you can level up and then you go back to waiting/letting time pass. Don't get me wrong- I enjoy it- but I don't find myself picking it up as often or for as long as I initally did. I do trust that this game has good bones and could be tweaked in time to be better and more re-playable - 6/10
The video store starts feeling like your store surprisingly quickly. I got weirdly attached to every upgrade I bought.

I guess Im gonna check back on this game in a few months. If i have to start a new save one more time because i cant pick anything up im gonna scream. Currently Not Playable unless you want to one shot it and never save and log off.
I cannot get past the first hour of the game do to game breaking glitches(employee not being able to get to a checkout or rewind station even though there is nothing in the way) many of the achievements i got are not popping or being recorded. the game seems fun and i like the IDEA of the game but its not playable right now... I keep getting cat called by a ghost in my store every 10 seconds and i cant pick anything up or help with returns because my right click is registering and doing the full cycle image but not picking anything up? sorry might wanna steer away for now until they fix this game...
Thank you developers for giving me a key. I was excited about this since I like the artstyle and the idea of multiplayer in the future seemed cool. Positives for this game: Cool artstyle, big world with lots of NPCs to potentially interact with, obviously there is a lot of lore. My sense is some Schedule 1 influence in the way the world is set up. Negatives: As I started to unpack rentals in my shop, a robot walked into my store and murdered me. No idea why. I did not have any way to defend myself. Instead of focusing on the tutorial tasks the game showed me, I was transported to another building somewhere in town, a hospital. As I tried to figure out a way back I was again killed by a robot and transported back to the hospital. When you have no concept of what is happening in a game, this gets old fast. This game presents itself as more of a management sim, and all my tutorial tasks focus on buying stock, shelving and selling. Instead of letting me discover the lore of this world exploring or interacting with it in steps, the game seemed intent on making it a frustrating experience where things happen to me but I don't know why or how to change the outcome. After the third time trying to dodge an inexplicibly hostile robot in less than an hour of gameplay while just trying to do the tutorial, I decided this game was probably not for me. I wish the developers all the luck in developing this world and the features within, but I can't honestly recommend this game in its current state.
I thought I was done for the night, then I noticed one small thing I wanted to improve in the store. Two hours later I was still playing.
this game has a lot of potential and i cant wait to see what's in store! very fun
I adore this game! I was gifted a key via email. I have played both on & off stream. I am really excited & looking forward to when co-op is available again. Me and several streamer friends plan to do some collabs & this game is very likely to be the first one! I adore the nostalgic feel, the chaos, & the silliness of it. I'm absolutely obsessed. The references as well tickled my brain. The rare times I had issues, they were fixed before I could even think to email about them. This is going to be well loved & often played within a few of my friend groups. I highly recommend this game! It brought me joy & I had some laughs along the way. I also noticed that it seems things were fixed rather rapidly too. I didn't notice very many issues at all.
What I enjoy most is the sense of progression. Every in-game day feels like you’re moving forward, whether that’s through upgrades, better organization, or simply making the store run more efficiently.
