Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

(Note: Gametime does not include the 1 hour playing the limited time available(?) demo and the save carried over to the full game) Retropolis 1 was a game I only recommended one deep sale. It was enjoyable, had great aesthetics, but very expensive for less that an hour of gameplay. It's a slightly silly Noir mystery in a world of robots that never leans too hard into the ridiculousness. I quite enjoyed the story presentation - which was quite impressive for such a small dev team. It's also a very comfortable VR experience that's easy to play seated and feels like a classic point and click game. Retropolis 2 continues the same story and feel, but is also over 4 times as long as the original. The game, however, is front-loaded with more puzzles. Chapters 2-4 are more cinematic, but a bit light on the puzzle content compared to the first chapter. The quality of the puzzles, however, are consistent and good. For experienced tradition adventure gamers, the difficulty is about medium. For players new to adventure games, there's a full walk-through available by devs. So, you'll only be stuck on a puzzle for as long as you want. (Note2: The game was quickly patched and these issues have been fixed.) At launch, there are some bugs. Another review mentioned the character model being partially shown in front of your view for a few sections of the game. I had the same experience - annoying, but still playable. I played the game fully for one ending of the game. As a nicety, the game offered to let me return and make a different choice. The game, however, always crashes when using an item on an electrical plug. So, I've technically finished the game, but I'm unable to finish an alternate ending. I'll be waiting for a patch to finish it. Beside a few technical issues, my only other complaint would be the price. 25 bucks (20 for introductory sale price) is a bit high for a 4 hour game. It's still a quality indie title, with a great sense of humor and excellent presentation. Let's just hope there's a quick hotfix for the game-breaking issue.

An excellent adventure game, fun from start to finish with great humour appropriate for all ages. It's a seated game so its perfect if you're new to VR and still getting used to it. I'll add this to the games I recommend to everyone. The first game was a taster, this is the full product. Both are very reasonably priced so it's worth getting them as a bundle and playing them back to back. Then you can join me in waiting for the next one.
Both Retropolis games are unique one-of-a-kind experiences that deserve much more attention than they're actually getting. The way they bring the classic 90's point-and-click adventure gameplay to VR in a robo-futuristic noir environment is absolutely exciting. The original game, while being only an hour or two long, managed to tell its story and left us wanting for more. Never Say Goodbye comes as a more complete and gameplay-rich experience which might take 6-8 hours or even more. There are some enjoyable puzzles to figure out, some adorable characters to meet along the way, some neatly humorous dialogs to spice things up, and - obviously - a mystery to uncover. It all worked very well for me and I will keep my fingers crossed for another sequel as the ending kind of implies one. On a technical side, I did not run into many issues with the game except for a single, but rather frustrating one: "Please return to the play area" message is popping up all the time (probably, 50 times or so in a single playthrough). Had this problem in both Quest and Steam versions, using different headsets. I had a great time playing both Retropolis games multiple times and it pains me to see how little activity is happening here on Steam: only 23 reviews and a few discussions? What is wrong with you people? This game is a masterpiece and I hope the series is not getting abandoned that easily.
Great sequel to a good (but short) game - it's much, much longer, lots of varied puzzles, different environment (including a police station). Art style is simple, but very consistent and stylish. A must play for adventure and/or noir fans.
Played with Quest 2 + Virtual Desktop (Windows 10) : perfect compatibility The sequel to Secret of Retropolis! And it's great! They kept the concept of the first game, and made more of it! More levels, more story, more puzzles, more noire detective ambiance, more Philip, more Jenny Montage! The VR point and click gameplay still delivers! The game still has its unique personality, and the 3D painted visuals are still top notch. I still love the 3D cutscenes.
Same as the first part, short but nice
I liked Retropolis 1 and like this even more. It's a point and click mystery puzzle game with good voice acting and music. It took me 4.5 hours to beat while sometimes using the walkthrough to progress. There's a walkthrough button in the menu that opens a website with a full walkthrough. I'd much prefer a subtle hint system though. Also, this only has snap turn, which I hate, so I turned in a swivel chair. It def needs smooth turn.
