its an mid game get boring fast and takes to long to level up

I'm genuinely shocked by the overwhelming positive review of this game. As polished and aesthetic as it is, the game never evolves past the first day. Regardless of upgrades, or unlocks you do the exact same thing every day with no meaningful progression My biggest issue with it is how tedious the mechanics are with no upgrades to make things smoother or faster. Returns and stocking shelves are such a drag, you have to manually click each slot (might be a better aim trainer than aim labs). They could have added something like a faster tape rewind or Money is too slow because you have no way of increasing how much each customer spends, They rent the same amount of videos, they pay the same price, and the shop is too expensive for how much you need to buy. It seems like a great game that milks 2 hours out of you until you hit the wall and cant refund.

If you like these grindy simulation games, this is one of the higher quality ones! The theme is fun and I definitely enjoyed collecting VHS and other unlockables. My least favourite part of this game was the concession stand, there was something off about the mechanics that made it really unpleasant to serve. The popcorn is definitely the worst, it's so clunky I dreaded everytime a customer asked for it. That gripe aside, this game has a great loop. The unlockables were satisfying, decorating pretty fun, NPCs had hilarious expressions and the themes made things a little less monotanous. I think this is a great game for what it is, though wish it had some accessability features that made scanning VHS not akin to blunt force trauma to the wrist.

Decent little simulator that is one of a kind. While tedious like most sims, it was a good play through. I am all set and ready for video game rentals. Please add some more achievements!

A cool store sim appealing to the nostalgia seeking gamers in their 30+'s which mostly hits the nail on the head. The game is graphically basic but the 90's imagery is there and gives off all the right vibes. I liked that there's spoof toys from my childhood scattered around. And speaking of spoofs, every film title and cover art in the game is a knock off of a classic film from the era. The game could do with a few refining features such as slightly smarter employees and additional customisation, however I've seen on the community page that there are mods to add extra features such a real film box art etc. Some kind of optional end game conclusion would be cool as the game will eventually become an infinite day to day loop, however you simply stop playing when you want to. Great game in all. Although a bit grindy it is mostly rewarding.
