Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 29 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A definitive winner, this game is unabashedly taking the elements of the very best Doom games and puts them together like a delicious stew. A sprawling map design with side passages, short cuts, plenty of secrets like in the good old Doom 1 and 2, a visual style of scary sci-fi horror as in Doom 3, and terrifying soundtrack reminiscent of Doom 64 to match. There's a solid stock of weapons and enemies so far (including a full blown boss fight) but hopefully will be expanded upon. Level designs are incredibly intricate. The only downside so far may be a few of the design choices.. it overly relies on enemies that are just guys with guns (about 80%) placed on ledges or behind grates where they are barely visible where they take potshots with surgical precision while you have not a single weapon that can handle long-range engagements. There's so many shooting enemies in fact that their weapons cannot be picked up, so the developers must have known that would ruin the balance. Combine that with F-You traps of enemies teleporting to you, extreme health pack scarcity as well as a progress system that relies on save points, and you have a bit of a wonky difficulty curve. Perhaps that too will be smoothed out. I was able to beat the first chapter without too much trouble but it can be frustrating if you get down to low HP, can't find any health and your last save was too long ago.

I want to preface this review by saying Retchid is probably asking for too much money right now. If you find it on sale, it's worth a pickup. It's a pretty decent emulation of Doom 3 gameplay, slow movement and lots of pretty environments and getting turned around. Love the implementation of underwater and how your starting infinite shock pistol just does self damage, that's cute. Gunplay is middling to say the least. The SMG is accurate but the kickback is pretty severe. Enemies will run around while firing and it's hard to hit or stagger them sometimes. Gibs are nice, animations are decent; if this part of the game got some touch-ups I think it would feel a lot nicer to play. No melee option either, that would be good. You can get lost very easily if you're not paying attention to the rooms you've been to or you haven't seen the door you need the new key for, some more direction in the PDA would be nice. Very Doom 3 in cataloguing information and reading Emails to figure out what the objective is, but they're written pretty poorly. Obvious place names and landmarks would make it better, but it's not a deal breaker or anything. Retchid is pretty good, but it's not a great game. I think if it's left in the oven for long enough we'll have something very nice, but for now, I would hesitate on trying it out unless you're looking for a game like Doom 3; I am pleasantly surprised by this game, but it's not for everyone. Very rough around the edges but there's a good game down there if they scrape away the grime.
Recomendeed for those who likes Doom 3. Old school shooter
This is an old-school indie-developed first person shooter with too many issues presently for me to enjoy. The game is well optimized, so I commend the developer for that. However, the graphics are straight out of 2007 with faded and washed out colors. There is also some strange peripheral light flickering when moving and turning. You also cannot crouch toggle and player movement is way too fast in my opinion with no way to walk or slow things down a bit. The fov also feels low even after adjusting the fov sliders and this combined with the excessive player speed caused me some motion sickness and nausea. Another issue I had with this game is the awful save system. You can only save at certain save stations and this often involves backtracking all over trying to find one. There is also no map and no objective markers, which caused me to get turned around because everywhere looks the same. Health packs are also way too rare and health stations can only be used a few times. Enemies also mad rush you, take numerous shots to bring down, deal way too much damage, and seem to appear out of thin air blasting you from behind. All of this and the lack of a quick save caused me to have to repeat sections over and over again. Overall, I ended up not enjoying my time spent with this game and I therefore cannot recommend it.
A great title so far, Retchid scratches that Doom 3 itch while managing to stay original. Well done and thank you to the developer(s)! This has been a longtime coming. The immersion is spectacular and the graphics excellent, ratcheting up that ID Tech 4 mystique a few notches. Can't wait to see where this one's going. Worth it at full price, sales should make it that much easier for people still on the fence. Not to beat the point to death, but anyone who likes Doom 3 should really look at this.
What an awesome indie shooter. The atmosphere gives a vibe of a mix between Doom 3 (from which it took most of its influence and the game doesn't shy away from it) and Dead Space with the mining station, the player being an engineer and all. I definitely encourage people to buy it to support the developers on their path to complete this game. Can't wait to see what the final product looks like!! Also you guys should have a discord for feedback and discussion.

Great retro vibe, good spooky atmosphere, combat gets progressively more challenging but doesn't leave you stumped, very enjoyable for casual play. My only complaints are the lack of a save option when not in combat and maps, but I think those are coming.
