Undisclosed AI slop.
Хорошо
Gameplay loop gets stale, and gen AI was most likely used without disclosure.
Вполне интересно сделана разборка разной техники нулевых. Но уж слишком надоедает заниматься одним и тем же.
I enjoyed the first couple hours, but it becomes clear quickly that the gameplay loop is limited and repetitive. Doing the same devices over and over to make money to unlock more interesting projects was not fun for me. Maybe I would enjoy it more if the game were just the devices and time trials for each one without all the story and money time wasting around it. I also remain confused about the level, if any, of AI used in the game itself. But I'm starting to think it sorta doesn't matter - it's the low quality of the assets and writing that are the real problem. If they're so mediocre that people are constantly accusing them of being AI, the mediocrity itself is the problem.
An outstanding game, played 3 days straight, couldn't get enough. Gameplay loop is disassembling devices and cleaning their parts at the same time. Then soldering is added, then more complex devices with more parts like a laptop. In background the main story unfolds - small Akihabara street where your shop is located is in danger, and it is quite decent, there are some amusing twists and turns, though not many. The devices are all easily recognizable but legally distinct from their prototypes. There are some rough edges: optimization is not great, camera controls could be better, the scaling is a bit off, I always felt cramped. Overall it was a captivating experience, I hope we will get DLC and patches soon.
The game is advertised as a chill repair game set in Tokyo Japan. But the backdrop is not Japan. It's Taiwan or rural China. The wooden building on the right side is Chinese, and the buildings are distinctly NOT Japanese either. I don't know HOW art direction can mix up Chinese architecture with Japanese this badly, I don't know how and why the red lanterns are used to signify Japanese when it can also be a Chinese thing. A signboard reads "Ramen Izakaya". In my 10 trips to Japan I have never come across a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "Ramen Izakaya". It takes me out of the game, and the characters in it are written more like caricatures, references of Japanese media characters than actual people. They are annoying. They have nothing likable about them. One of them, a Tourist character, goes "Arigatou Masuta I hope it is not a meiwaku" unironically. I do not get the sense that there was any care given to this other than to maximize appeal and be a cash grab. Despite the decent gameplay loop and the overall accurate enough though simplified parts based of actual products, the backdrop and everything just takes me out of the mood. I hate this. I sincerely wish this was just set in Taiwan instead. EDIT: possible that genAI is used, if so, Holy Mother Of Slop.
Greedy ass publisher revoking GMG keys.
Undisclosed use of AI... Extremely disappointing. I wish I could refund.... The gameplay loop and game itself is good and I would be mostly fine with the use of AI if it was minimal and DISCLOSED properly...
