Resolutiion is a zelda-like action-adventure, where an old killer and his AI explore a vast, mysterious world, full of mighty weapons, surreal abilities and gruesome bossfights.

I forced myself to finish this game, that says something about it's lack of quality but this game convinced me to endure several hours of misery and boredom and I don't regret it. The music is great, sometimes the vibes are very good, there is a giant cat but the combat is uninspired but difficult in an annoying way (the boss fights become unfun insanely quickly), the level design isn't very good and the story in unintelligible but I think I really like it (it's hard to tell). Kinda required to not go insane: https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1053226774548629154/9D9D7FB74BFB0CC4E6DBCB72C777E8D24819CB3E/ https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1865697815 https://web.archive.org/web/20210419025159/https://monolithofminds.com/resolutiion-wiki/charactershome.php

The art is a weak imitation of Hyper Light Drifter and the story is empire / terrorist techno BS. However, the gameplay is uniquely bad. Sure, its clunky and artificial, but the worst aspect, by far, is how respawning works. Rather than have regular checkpoints, there are occasional respawn points, but dying doesn't reset the enemies - meaning the only thing that will ever happen in a harder section is that you will kill a few more every time you die and then have to run back to repeat the process. I cannot emphasize this enough - this game has somehow the worst death / respawn system possible. This is not to mention the bugs and oversights I encountered in even my short playtime. Believe the negative reviews. This game likely not worth your time and certainly not worth your money.

I liked a lot of things about this game… For example, music is really good. I could listen to it outside the game and still enjoy it quite a lot. Pixel graphics are suitable for this game too. Visual style is very good. And by that I mean that I like it. You may like it too. Or you may not. Of course there are things I didn’t like and you could find them unpleasant or even annoying. For example the game world is quite good and beautiful in its own way but it may be somewhat confusing to navigate. I often found myself not knowing where to go because there would be too many paths. Surely I would like to explore but I also don’t want to go down the wrong path and have to start all the way at the start to try and find the place I wanted to explore but couldn’t because I couldn’t go back. And then I would forget about it, which is a shame. But you definitely should go back and explore when you get new abilities because you want those upgrades. You see, there aren’t a lot of enemies in the game but they can be really annoying and kill you before you figure out how to kill them. You will start at the checkpoint with progress save but you would still be annoyed. The enemies don’t respawn until you reload the game and that is a very good decision made by the developers. You get almost all the abilities by just playing the game but you will also get a few useful ones that will make navigation and fighting easier. Remember those upgrades I talked about earlier. Go out there and find them when you unlock the necessary abilities. Because there are bosses that will suck out the fun out of the game. You will later realize that they are not as hard when you figure out how to kill them. But it made me furious about it and I wanted to give this game a negative review. Take all your stamina at a whim and that makes them even less fun. Eventually you will kill them and get your dopamine dose and think that the game is not that bad. Or you may not and you will give up and give it a negative review. Which seems to be the case if you look at the review score for this game. A word of advice for Steam Deck users: some bosses are a lot easier on a big screen. I killed one of the bosses almost right away once I plugged in the monitor. And a word of advice to the developers: make the game scale with the pixel density of the screen. In conclusion: despite its flaws I enjoyed the game.
honestly, this is one of the bests games ever made, amazing in every way, thank you devs.
masterpiece story and art too much walking and its very difficult to find things
