Longtime fan of the Resident Evil series, and this is still the definition of survival horror. The atmosphere, exploration, limited resources, puzzles, and constant tension all hold up incredibly well. Even after all these years, the Spencer Mansion is still one of the best settings in the series. If you want to see Resident Evil at its most classic, this is it. An excellent remake and a game that has aged remarkably well. Highly recommended.

This game is old, but honestly, it still holds up really well. The mansion feels creepy as hell, especially when you're walking through a hallway and suddenly hear something moving nearby. The fixed camera can be annoying at first, and I definitely spent too much time running back and forth because I forgot where I left something. But that's kind of part of the experience. If you've never played the original Resident Evil, this is probably the best way to experience it. Slow, creepy, occasionally frustrating, but still really good. [h1]Pros:[/h1] + Still has an amazing atmosphere. + The mansion is basically one giant puzzle box. + Great sound design and music. + Jill and Chris campaigns are fun to replay. [h1]Cons:[/h1] - The controls are Janky and take some getting used to. - Inventory management can get annoying. - Backtracking... a lot of backtracking. - Some puzzles are pretty old-school and not exactly obvious.

I don't know I first time play this classic RE but in term of horror......... Its should not called Resident Evil HD Remaster Its more like a Resident Evil : HD Puzzle for me. But overall still a good and classic RE game, manage to get full achievement with 6 playthrough. With the first play in 12Hrs (Dayum).............. The MOST STUPID achievement > Every Nook and Cranny The description really get people wrong.

PROS: + very scary (I've beaten this game many times, including the original gamecube release and it still gives me chills) + fun, satisfying gameplay loop of fighting monsters, collecting items, solving puzzles and exploring the environment + the game looks beautiful in HD + modern analog controls give more control over the characters + the story is well paced and engaging despite its simplicity + tons of replay value due to many modes and unlockables + classic survival horror at its finest! CONS: - ...that there's not more of it??? This is honestly one of the best games ever created. As a remake it managed to do what few remakes could and actually improved on the original, which was already a great game in its own right! If you're a fan of horror games and haven't yet tried this one out, give it a go! 10/10
