Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 18 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Abstract Kaleidoscopic puzzle game that seems cool when you look at it, but acts too pretentious and simple for its own good. nothing keeps me hooked except the scenery and the "story" ruins my opportunity to see more.
Tl'dr: A solid 7/10. A short and enjoyable first-person puzzle game. Unique visuals complemented by good music. The puzzles are generally fun, and their difficulty level is pretty reasonable. The game has a story, something about family drama and feelings of guilt over some tragedy. But when it comes to family dramas, I tune out and don't pay much attention. What I would criticize about the game is that some parts of the levels were too long to walk through (maybe if I could run faster in them), and I would have appreciated more puzzles and less story parts-interacting with a character multiple times to advance the monologue is a bit strange. What kept me playing was the presentation and the puzzles, which are good.

I've been on a puzzle kick since I played Talos 2 on xb game pass. I'd never been interested in puzzle games before I played that game, and I only really initially downloaded that game as a benchmark, and curiosity as to why it was over 100GB in size... I've yet to play the first game, and my experience with other puzzle games is extremely limited. This game really did scratch that itch I was looking for after playing Talos 2. Thought provoking puzzles, a genuine interest in finding out WTF is going on here... Recursive Ruin was a lot of fun - I wasn't overly fond of the voice acting, and there are certain elements of the setting/story/characters that are generally disinteresting to me (I could almost say 'red flag' territory) - the artsy background, the unusual 'friendship' with a musician, and the way a lot of these elements don't necessarily get tied up by the end of the game. I played through this game over a period of probably 5-7 days - the puzzles and mechanics of the game are entertaining, and I often found myself thinking about playing, while I was pre-occupied with life. There is some difficulty, and some parts of the game, I feel, should've been coupled with more instruction, but overall, it was a genuinely good experience. Personally, I would like to see the devs come through with some additional content; DLCs, a sequel, entirely new games with similar puzzle solving direction... There were a few points throughout my playthrough, where I genuinely didn't know which direction the devs were going with the story & its implications, and honestly, I feel like some of my incorrect guesses could've made for a much more enjoyable & satisfying experience, and by the end of the game, I honestly felt like it was a pretty disappointing ending. That being said - I didn't feel cheated, or upset. I have even kept the game installed, because I think it's deserving of another playthrough. It's hard to place a definitive rating on this game, for me, but it's definitely somewhere between 6.5-8/10. Definitely worth playing!
