Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

From the creator of 'Plague Inc: Evolved' comes a unique and deeply engaging political/military strategic simulation.
In Rebel Inc: Escalation, the war is ‘over’ - but we all know that doesn't mean anything. In order to stabilise a war-torn country, you need to balance competing military and civilian priorities to win the hearts and minds of the people, whilst also stopping a deadly insurgency from seizing power!
Following on from the global mega hit 'Plague Inc.' with over 160 million players, Rebel Inc: Escalation offers a deeply engaging, strategic challenge inspired by the complexities and consequences of modern counter insurgency. It has received acclaim from international development experts and was even featured at a major international peace conference!

8 regions to stabilise - Deploy to wildly different strategic environments, including the gentle farms of ‘Saffron Fields’, or the impenetrable forests of ‘Distant Steppe’. Work to defend the ‘Azure Dam’ from the Insurgency, or develop unique new strategies to counter the drug trade in ‘Opium Fields’.
8 unique governors - Each one with radical new abilities to master. Choose the ‘Economist’ to receive an entire year’s income in one go or the ‘Warlord’ to train a personal militia. Field an army of heavy armour with the ‘Tank Commander’, or tap into the black-market with the ‘Smuggler’.
Hyper-realistic - Inspired by Afghanistan, the simulation is highly detailed, containing real world development initiatives and an innovative representation of counter insurgency tactics. It has been praised by the World Bank and was even featured at a major international peace conference.
Campaign Mode - Conduct large-scale operations across multiple regions. Carefully manage resources and choose unique upgrades in a persistent world with 150+ Player Tactics, Map Features and Insurgent Tactics to radically mix up gameplay!
Vs Multiplayer - Take control of the Insurgency to try and topple the government in your opponent’s Region, whilst trying to stabilise your own! Dynamically scaling difficulty ensures that players of different skill levels can have a good, challenging game.
Co-Op Multiplayer - Work together to simultaneously stabilise two separate Regions, sending soldiers and resources to your partner to achieve your goals. Or jump into a Co-Op Campaign of escalating difficulty.
Challenge Mode - Compete against the Steam Community on randomised Weekly Challenges, including an extra hard mode for the best of the best.
Custom Scenarios & Scenario Creator - Explore a world of fresh new ways to play with official and community created Scenarios, or develop your own share them with other players via Steam Workshop. Who said Nation Building was hard?
Advanced civilian and military AI - Sophisticated narrative algorithms model the needs of local populations, while deadly insurgent attacks put constant pressure on your operation.
Gorgeous Graphics - Stabilise a beautifully rendered 3D world that responds to your actions and thrives as you provide jobs and services. Drone cams and civilian TV channels bring your operation to life and show you what's happening on the ground.
Rebel Inc: Escalation builds on the original critically acclaimed gameplay of Rebel Inc. with multiple significant, all-new features, enhanced music, improved 3D graphics for PC/Mac, online multiplayer and steam workshop support.
An important note: Although a fictional game, Rebel Inc. looks at important real world issues and we have made every effort to deal with them sensitively. The game has been extensively researched and has been developed in cooperation with leading regional politicians, business people and journalists as well as international charities, experts and governments.

I have mixed feelings about Rebel Inc: Escalation.I grew up playing Rebel Inc on my tablet, so there is definitely some nostalgia attached to it. The game still has a solid presentation, and the writing does a good job of making each scenario feel believable. Unfortunately, once the novelty wears off, the gameplay starts feeling repetitive much faster than I expected. Most runs end up playing almost the same way. The biggest differences come from the governors and advisors you choose, since their traits slightly change how you approach a match. Beyond that, there isn't much variety. The upgrade paths rarely encourage different strategies, and after a while it feels like you're making the same decisions every game. The combat and strategy elements are also fairly weak. Fighting insurgents often boils down to chasing them around the map while waiting for support levels to increase. There isn't much depth to military operations, and many situations have obvious solutions rather than meaningful strategic choices.I also wish there was more content overall. More unique mechanics, more ways to build your region, and more distinct playstyles would have gone a long way. The maps don't help much either. Most of them aren't particularly memorable or visually impressive, which makes repeated playthroughs feel even more similar. I still got some enjoyment out of it, mostly because of my history with the series, but I wouldn't recommend it. It has a good foundation and some strong ideas, yet it lacks the depth and variety needed to stay interesting for me
Having played the first 5 levels, I find myself curiously unengaged. I was expecting something closer to a realtime civilisation-like game but the management and tactics all feel very bland unfortunately. I select some options and hopefully they work in time before I run out of reputation. I do not find myself caring much about the choices and sort of randomly selecting a few of the cheapest when budget allows. It feels like this game could have been very good with a bit more attention to the tactics or even just the map and cities changing more as you invest, but there is none of the feedback that would allow you to feel your choices matter. Oh well.. not too bad, but wouldn't recommend.
Not very fun, the fact the insurgents can spawn wherever they want and you have to try and hunt them down despite following what the tutorial said. They had a good game with Plauge inc and should have never made the other two games.
after 20 long years, my foreign supporters completely gave up their support and i instantly fell to the rebels. Accuracy is Nine out of Eleven
Not as fun as Plague Inc., but still fun. Although half of the time, it makes me want to throw my PC off a bridge.
while it is a decent game, it is unfortunately significantly hampered by the amount of useless popups in every match. there's 2-3 dozen per match and it adds up in stress. hopefully this review helps convince the developer to fix this
