The first game i ever played was Freelancer by Anvil Games, and later bought out by Microsoft. I loved the game and have been looking for something similar since. Then I heard about Rebel Galaxy on a podcast that chose the best games of the year (Giant Bombcast?). I bought it and have played it on and off since then. Now 2026 and it does not get old. Great fun. The soundtrack is awesome too. I highly recommend those who like single player games.
game is somewhat generic, and overly simple, like a really good phone game. you cant fly up and down or roll, its basically like playing the game asteroids, but its 3d and everyone else is doing cool manuevers except you. decent progression, but very limited... just play everspace if this peaks your fancy

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Alright game, looks pretty... but no real fun to be had. (Which is why most people only play it for 1-5 hours it seems. I got it for 3€, so kinda worth it?) Early on, the game is just flying there, killing this, upgrading your modules, and repeating. You do this about 10 times, then buy a better (but slower) ship. After a few hours, it gets boring/unfun. (You do this with killing missions, later trading is pretty profitable and later on missions again.) The controls are easy, yet you can't go up or down... but enemies can ! But to be honest, it isn't a big deal... It takes a little getting used to (important for combat to press "esc" and change your turret targeting settings!). DEAL BREAKER: My more irritating issue is when trading. I am trying to sell a certain item in my hold; I select it, and it clearly shows I have ONE in my hold ! Yet it decides to sell the item on the top of the list, NOT THE ONE I HAD SELECTED ! (Which I have 4 of in my hold, but I had a totally different item selected that I want to sell... makes trading with multiple items USELESS (unless I specifically go to the right station in order of how the items in my hold get ordered... Just so stupid.)) While flying around, you will always run into enemies. At first, they don't have a bounty, so it's better to avoid them. Later they get a small bounty, but it's still not worth it. Also, you come across ordinance crates that you can't pick up since they are for specific weapons. It's irritating. Makes flying around kind of a chore... since most of the time you cannot dodge them, sometimes you can. Luckily it's super easy to run away from. (TL;DR waste of time) Overall, these issues make the game unfun, which is why I'm leaving a negative review. (And why people play only few hours... Pretty sure game has around 15-30h of "content".)
Is AC: Black Flag on space, kinda. If you like space combat like "Captain Harlock" or "Queen Emeraldas" this is your game. Go for it. Is fun. Relaxing, in a way.
For me this is a space game i have been looking for, for a very long time. For those who have tried Elite Dangerous and like me, didn't like it, this game has removed some annoying aspects of and keeps it a lot more engaging. The game is played in third - person, which gives you a unique experience of traversing the Void and admiring at the galaxy around you untill you reach your destination. The visuals are great, Space Ships are not exactly good looking, more like second or third hand space vehicles which have gotten repaired several times and look battle hardened. At least this is my so far experience from my 1st Sector. You get to upgrade your space ship with weapons, shields, plating, utility armaments etc and you can do from minning and trading around, to bounty hunting, scavenging etc. The story is nothing special, more like something to give your place a reason to begin our journey rather than actually wanting to play the main missions. Most mission have a silly alien voice over, which is not that much out of place. This is a space simulator game, you play because you are a space afficionado, because the battle feels challenging and yet rewarding. There is a system of politics and factions, there are quests that you can do for pirates which affect legitimate forces, or for galactic forces which in turn has an impact on the criminal activity in each sector. I got some hints from a bartender ingame, that if you become an ally? or play missions? for the trade league they got some sweet upgrades. Havent explored that yet, i am just having fun chasing around pirates. I got the game on sale for 1.67 euro, and i can tell you from heart, if you are someone who like space games, and needs something faster and more intense than Stellaris, with a feeling of Space Trucker - Pirate Hunting - Trader and you value games with simple mechanics but fun gameplay to kill off a couple of hours before bed and roll loughing when pirates band together with ships 2 classes higher than you to kill you , then this is the game for you. I went in with low expectations thinking i spend 1.67 for a game, dont care if it's bad, and ended up loving it enough to support the fact that even for 15 euro cost, this game deserves it.
Seemed alright to begin with starting out, for me, the music feels a bit out of place for a space enviroment - but I get the rebel undertone it was going for. Thought after stopping at a distress signal I have a grasp on combat, killed a few small ships and a missile cruiser and moved on. Grabbed some missions, VERY LOW RISK, it claimed. I had three tries trying to do this very low risk mission, just constantly being bombarded by missiles from two cruisers while small bombers tore me to shreds over and over. Maybe I missed a trick, but, even landing broadside hits on one of them (focused it to try and kill it) I couldn't even dent its shields.
actual hot garbage. tried to like it but i bought a sniper laser for it to miss all the shots. and yes the game cuz all you get to do is charge up the side and press a button. Could look over the fact it's just menu if the space part was any good. approaching or leaving space stations slows to an awful crawl for no reason. You make it a point to not hit the environment so why is that different? Again combat is just wack. No way to aim. Maneuverability is literally left and right. No up no down no roll dodge so no way of actually evading enemies. I should've stopped but I wanted to like it and now I'm down a dollar. I should've bought an arizona tea and it would have been better spent. I can't imagine buying this game at full price. Refunding the other one cuz this was abysmal.
Got this game at a great discount, and for the prize of a quarter of sandwich, I got 45 hours of fun wandering around the galaxy. Learning curve is perfect (using all the tools and tactics is not necessary at the beginning, but it becomes relevant and enjoyable later on), the naval combat system is solid (different combat styles can be tried depending on ship, weapons and components). But most of all, the atmosphere is spot on, I could feel the pleasure of being a space cowboy.
