About
Rebel Galaxy is a swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe.
As the commander of an immensely powerful star destroyer, you’ll battle pirates, explore anomalies, befriend aliens, scavenge battle wreckage, mine asteroids, and discover artifacts. Choose your path as a roguish do-gooder, crafty space-trader or power-hungry privateer – or maybe a little of each! Buy larger and more powerful craft with your hard-earned credits, and outfit them with a variety of wicked weapons and defenses. Set in a galaxy of fantastic sights, and secrets to be found, Rebel Galaxy is above all a space epic of adventure, exploration, and combat.
The edge of the universe is a pretty dangerous place, so watch your back.

For 20 bucks, I'd recommend this to anybody who wants casual space combat game. Not for people only interested in hardcore space sims. There's plenty to like about this game. The ships are pretty cool, there's quite a bit of customization available and they give you a galaxy of about 20 star systems to play around in. It's an open world sandbox, so you can keep playing if you want to after the main campaign is through. There's also plenty of stuff that I find infuriating. I haven't seen this much of a grind outside of a MMORPG. Missions sometimes bug out and cant be completed, although thankfully there is no penalty for abandoning sidequests. Finally, and I am saying this to all game designers everywhere: NOBODY ENJOYS ESCORTING SLOW NPCS THAT GET STUCK ON TERRAIN OBJECTS. NOBODY. STOP IT. So aside from the above issues, it's a pretty fun game. Plenty of variety in terms of ships, equipment and things to do. You can even become a pirate if that's your thing. Pretty impressive for such a small team.

Every market we collect.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun game. I have never use Mouse and Keyboard always found controller easier to play. The game is def a grind. If you don't like grindy games this one may not be for you.
As a longtime Freelancer fan I had high hopes for Rebel Galaxy, and it does indeed scratch that itch quite well for the most part. Unfortunately, it's just so damn annoying to play that I pretty much rage-quit after a couple of hours and uninstalled the game. First off, the game's framework is really solid. The graphics are pretty, ship and weapon choice is decent, the combat is fun, the music fits the atmosphere, and the story, although nothing world-shaking, does a good job keeping the player interested. However, there are some... let's call them features that are so ludicrously infuriating that I could no longer stomach them. The first one is how overly cautious your ship computer is about collision warnings. You can be far enough from an obstacle to fit your ship into the gap five times over when the warning already flashes up. While not too annoying per se, it has the unfortunate consequence of interrupting your fast-travel warp speed every time you get even remotely close to anything. It's damn near impossible to travel through a star system without at least five interruptions, followed every time by lengthy sublight acceleration, warp drive charge time, more acceleration, and BAM!, you got close to another obstacle, sucker! Rinse and repeat ad nauseam. I really wished there was an override for this system. If I crash into an asteroid and explode, fine, I don't care. At least it was my own fault then. Everything's better than this endless cockblocking. Other gripes include the bad menu UI, lots of missing information (how many reputation points do I need to improve my guild level? Who knows), the unnecessary, time-consuming zoom-in effect on your ship every time you close the map screen, and some other minor grievances, but the straw that finally broke the camel's back for me was the fact that both the tractor beam and the warp drive are bound to the same button and have pretty much identical on-screen prompts. Doesn't sound like much, but I failed more escort missions than I care to remember because instead of tractoring in loot after a battle, I accidentally went to warp speed (which can't be interrupted once the charge-up is triggered) and left the mission area. That's just bad game design. If none of these things sound like a bother to you, go right ahead and give the game a try. It's a lot of fun outside of this BS. However, if they do sound even mildly offputting, you might want to give this one a pass and continue hoping for an actual Freelancer sequel or at least a remake/remaster. EDIT: spelling.
This game is such a piece of ♥♥♥♥ when it comes to combat. Don't tell you anything about the mechanics of the game other then aim, or switching guns, but not anything about how you can prioritize aim targets. Doesn't tell you WHY or HOW to aim at targets, but is always willing to condescendingly tell you about the Defend option. ♥♥♥♥ you. Teach me how to play the fighting part of the game. AKA, THE GAME. What is the everloving point of this game being the rare one to allow sticker changes for controller choices for a game they didnt put the effort into teaching you how to play the core of. ♥♥♥♥. What a waste of 100 minutes.
You die, you respawn right back next the enemy so they can constantly kill you EVERY.SINGLE.TIME... great fun, really enjoyed it. its not like the devs can't spawn you out of range of the npc, camera angle went all weird on me, ended up in a vertical angle which I couldn't get out of. No key bindings that I could see that I thought would've fixed it. It has lack of tutorials, gives you the basic and its very brief then they send you on your way. I am aware of the tutorials in the pause menu, and I don't care, I also didn't bother looking into that section. Rather watch paint dry.
Do not confuse this game with Rebel Galaxy Outlaw I did. This game's meh very little up/down in space so more 2D play with 3D animated NPC.
Nice game, needs a sequel :)
Boring game. Unfortunately, I bought it years ago and can't ask for a refund.
Do you like games that employ some nonsense in the save system that will, say, overwrite your current save with a backup from 3 days prior and make 10ish hours of progress vanish like a fart in the breeze? If so, this game is for you.
