The Good To start off, this is an incredible tool for learning to fly RC aircraft. I started using this simulator, first with a old dx6i controller, then later with an nx8+, right around the time of my first successful flights of my micro trainer. Since then I've used it mostly to mess around with different aircraft, and try maneuvers I would never risk trying on my planes normally. Thanks to many hours at both the real and digital field, I'm now able to fly all of my aircraft and not crash. Also, the physics, controls, and wind simulation are very accurate and the muscle memory and skills learned translate nicely to a physical RC plane or drone. The Bad I've only encountered a few problems/downsides to RealFlight. The first is price. This simulator is absurdly overpriced, especially considering that you need specialized controllers to do anything (which on their own are a minimum of $40-$100 additional), so if you don't already have one, the all up cost is closer to $200. Also, for a $99 simulator in 2026, the graphics are extremely disappointing. It is nicely optimized and can even be run reliably on a budget laptop, but depth perception, resolution, and 3D appearance in general are stuck in another decade. I'm not sure if there are settings buried somewhere that can adjust this, but as is it makes it hard to line up landings until you get used to it. The final issue I've found is the multiplayer features. They do exist, but are okay at best and not very interesting if solo flying is getting boring. The Short Version If you need a flight simulator with Horizon Hobby planes, very realistic physics, and already have a compatible controller, but don't mind underwhelming graphics, and a high cost, this is a great simulator. Also, if you do intend to use RealFlight to learn to fly real RC aircraft, it is worth the $99. Every crash in the sim is a crash that didn't happen to your real RC, which can pay for itself very quickly.
a simulator is super helpful to start in RC, this one works but has really outdated graphics and isn't realistic enough to prepare you for... real flight. If should be priced around 20€ or less considering it looks like an ad for Horizon Hobby
this game is great

It's a great platform once you get the proper hardware for it.

Best way to learn how to fly RC planes without crashing. It helps you save money
A good way to try different rc planes to fine one you would like to fly. Realistic flying experience but takes some time to get planes set up wtih your controller. google setup solutions
