Randal's Monday is one of those games I've known about since it came out, loved it, completely forgot existed, and then randomly remembered years later while talking to a friend about something unrelated. Despite it having its flaws, I have a real soft spot for the game. Beyond being a love letter to classic point & click adventures and being absolutely packed with references (I even dare say way too many) to just about every form of media imaginable, the game has a strong identity of its own, and I genuinely find the characters lovable, even if they are total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and/or dumbasses. Also, some of the jokes still landed for me, which is more than I can say for plenty other comedic media from 2014. Do I think it's a flawless 10/10 masterpiece? Well... no. But I do think it's a really good game, and it's also surprisingly long for a point-and-click adventure, which is definitely a plus in my book. I'd recommend giving it a shot if you're even remotely interested. I know a lot of people complain that the puzzles are too difficult, but honestly, I found almost all of them intuitive and logical. The game does a good job of dropping hints through dialogue and interaction attempts, so as long as you're willing to experiment, pay attention, and actually listen to what the characters and even loading screens are telling you, I think you'll be alright. The game makes it really obvious that it doesn't want you to use the hint system, so I'd recommend activating it only if you're EXTREMELY stuck and tired, but maybe that's just because I've played enough point & click games over the years to become immune to the genre's usual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It is at this point that I should clarify I played the game in Spanish (Spain), since it's its original language and the one I remembered from way back then. The voice acting is amazing, and from what I understand, most of the characters are voiced by well-known spanish voice actors which is pretty cool. I don't know much about the english voices or its voice cast, but I imagine they're also good. Before anyone worries tho, it's fairly obvious that many of the jokes and everything actually drawn on screen was made with an english-speaking audience in mind, so calm down, you aren't actually missing out on anything if you don't speak spanish lol In conclusion: Randal's Monday is messy, overindulgent, and definitely not a game for everyone, but if you enjoy point & click adventures, don't mind a ton of pop culture references, and are looking for a decent comedy with a surprising amount of charm, I think it's absolutely worth your time. It may not be a perfect masterpiece, but it sure can stuck with you as it did with me. [b]PD:[/b] the OST ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ slaps for NO GOOD REASON, and it's included in the game files as a free bonus. Do yourself a favor and give it a listen. [b]EDIT:[/b] Ok... So I've gotten myself a little more familiarized with the english dub and [i]oh my god is it insufferable.[/i] Look, maybe I'm just too used to how the game sounds in spanish, but I feel like many of those negative reviews talking about how they just couldn't care for the story/characters and how the dialogue is boring and annoying are caused exclusively because of the english dub. It sounds flat, it feels like the characters sometimes show the wrong emotions, and many voices don't fit their respective characters. I still stand with what I said tho, try it, the rest of the game is still there and can be enjoyed even if it's a shame that the dub seems to be clearly inferior. It probably isn't a deal-breaker.

Un excelente juego de verdad, la narrativa siempre me atrapa, a pesar de saber la historia de antemano, excelente juego, banda, referencias, ambiente... Espero jugar pronto su secuela
