Quetzal's Call

I feel like this game would be hard to get into if you are not an avid platformer fan. Even as an avid platformer fan, this game has a few issues that get in the way of me trying to enjoy the game. Trying to get the character to consistently attack downwards is probably what killed me the most in the game. The game is also extremely short. I was able to beat it in just a bit over 2 hours and with trying to get all the collectibles I imagine it would be around 6 or 8 hours. I wish there was a lesser thumbs down. The game will frustrate you for reasons beyond a platformer simply being difficult, but I would still recommend giving it a try.

Straightforward concept executed well. Game really opens up by making the most of different moves and level gimmick combos in the back half. Pacing can be frustrating and wish there were more generous checkpoints, but definitely worth the price of entry.
