Quern - Undying Thoughts

I really enjoyed exploring Quern. The locations are beautiful, the atmosphere (even if it sometimes seems colorless and gloomy on the surface) is great, and the puzzles are challenging without feeling completely unfair. Some of them took me quite a while to figure out, but solving them was always satisfying. The main plot here is complex, yet interesting... especially towards the end of the game. At first I thought it was mostly going to be about exploring an old mysterious island and solving puzzles, but there is actually a lot more going on. The story of this world (or rather, the island), its inhabitants and the power they sought to discover made me want to understand what happened there. By collecting notes and following the storyline, you will find a way to understand everything that happened here. For those already familiar with Myst, Obduction, or other classic first-person puzzle-adventure games, Quern is the perfect title to play.

Was a pretty fun adventure. Was definitely stumped on a few puzzles but i found this games puzzles a little more straight forward than some of the ones from the devs later game Dimhaven, not that Dimhaven was bad or anything, rather it was a fun puzzle adventure too, just had a lot more puzzles that took me a bit more thought power to solve.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Fun puzzles, very Myst like, didn't take too long to complete it. Nice game.
