You are Ranger, a warrior armed with a powerful arsenal of weapons. I've been playing Quake for years. Quake is Quake, it's a must play for any gamer.

Incredible remaster of an old game, if you ignore the graphics and a bit repetitive gameplay it's really unique. The new levels for the remaster are incredibly well designed and very fun. The visuals also despite being on such an old engine they managed to make really good levels. Now if only Quake 4 also gets the remaster treatment.
Loving the return to oldschool Quake! Brings back fun memories of LANparties I was part of in the past - just wish I could get everyone on a 0 ping server for some really serious competition. The lag over multiplayer, even with high speed internet, is still frustrating. But the new expansion is awesome and the game hasn't lost any of its appeal!

Quake
I first played this game in 2026, never once before, and even without any nostalgia I can vouch for this being fun to play. If you use the original DOOM and DOOM II as a reference point, Quake moves a lot faster, jumping and dodging are vital skills. This only part that frustrated me was the final boss of the first campaign, because it involves a mechanic that you never had to use or were really made aware of prior to that.
