Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
This franchise currently consists of two games. Purgatory and Purgatory II, they are quite nice. However they can't reach the positive reviews. I'll just write the same review, for both games. The games feature sort of a 'retro' vibe within. Perhaps around late 90s, or early 2000s vibe. Which is a good vibe to go for, I did love that. The story of both games is rather interesting. And the gameplay is decent enough I reckon. However, the gameplay felt quite unpolished. There's some sad, annoying balancing issues. Certain aspects do feel way too overpowered. It truly starts to feel like a chore after a while. And there is not enough, to keep you playing. Seems like both the games lack the polishing. They could be neat if the devs polished more. Both games aren't quality-wise good enough. I'd actually like to give them a neutral review. Sadly: Steam does not have a neutral button. And so: I sadly gotta go with a negative one. It's not a bad franchise, I've seen way worse. But it's just not enough to be recommended.
