Good little game, especially when you consider that it's been made by an almost-one-man team. Nothing really original here but nothing really bad either, except the following. LITTLE FLAWS - the HUD sometimes hides important parts of the screen - you can't put markers on the map BIG FLAWS - the first and last bosses are way too difficult and luck-based compared to the rest of the game - there's one insane platform challenge that makes the White Palace of Hollow Knight seem easy
Great for fans of the game Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for the Nintendo Gamecube <3

Cant recommend this one enough
Fantastic metroidvania! Looks like Environmental Station Alpha and Metroid Fusion. Banger soundtrack too. It's neat seeing the station evolve as you progress through the game or during different story events. Is it short? Sure, but there's plenty of replay value. For $7, it's a steal. Highly recommended!
Sorry but it's a mediocre MV,just didn't have much fun playing it. Soulless Metroid clone that doesn't really do anything new. Also, obnoxious level design with terrible enemy placement that just is more annoying than challenging to play through. Bosses were decent, maybe only good aspect.
Whoever made this game is very obviously a Metroid Fusion fan and I'm all for it. Although PSYCRON may not have nearly as much content as games like Environmental Station Alpha or Axiom Verge which are both also fantastic games, what is here is still well rounded and very enjoyable for the most part (especially for Metroid Fusion fans like myself). I like the abilities in this game which are fairly unique and fun to use overall. The boss fights are also challenging but still quite fun.
I also like how in true Metroid Fusion fashion, this game has an unrelenting pursuer- Psycron itself, the SA-X type foe of this game.
On a side note, I've noticed that some reviewers claim to have run into a soft lock that supposedly can happen later in the game. I have yet to encounter this issue as of the time that I'm writing this review. Overall, this is an easy recommendation for Metroidvania fans (or just Metroid fans in general).

I believe Psycron is ultimately an okay game. What dragged it down for me was the second chase section, which truly makes the game next to unplayable. I have a question for the developer. Why is it that after the third boss fight you make the hardest chase section in all of video games? Or at least the hardest one of most video games that I ever played. And why did you have to make it so poorly designed? You could have had a good section there, but I believe that the AI is just not right for the level design, especially, I don't know how long the chase lasts, as I wasn't able to get through it at the time of this review. I will try, but I'll see if my opinion of the game changes at all at the end of the game. If I ever make it there and decide that this game is worth trying with.
