Úžasně chytlavá logická hra. Většina odhalených sekcí vám ukáže nějaké přísloví.

This game hits a very specific part of my brain. I've been obsessed with Minesweeper-style logic games since I was young. I went from normal 2D Minesweeper to 3D Minesweeper, then somehow to 4D Minesweeper, and after all that apparently the natural conclusion was to return to two dimensions again. Proverbs has that same wonderful quality where, after playing for long enough, you stop consciously thinking about every individual move. You look at the numbers. Your brain recognizes the pattern. Your hand clicks the correct place. Repeat. Eventually I get into a flow state where I'm barely consciously solving anything anymore. I'm just staring at numbers, listening to music, and gradually clearing more and more of the board. That's probably my favorite way to play it. It doesn't demand my full attention all the time, so it's perfect when I want to relax, put some music on, and give my brain just enough work to stay occupied. The little completed illustrations that gradually reveal themselves as you solve sections of the puzzle are also a nice touch. They give each completed area a small sense of reward instead of making the entire experience feel like clearing an abstract spreadsheet. If Sudoku and Minesweeper are the kind of games you can accidentally play for hours, this is dangerously easy to lose an evening to. I apparently lost almost 28 hours.

Proverbs is a good number-based-filling puzzle game. ~24h playthrough Numerous sections reveal a proverb with a description, which was quite interesting. The pixelated nature makes the picture unreadable at the zoom level you normally use. Two detail levels while zooming make it hard to zoom and pan around to find finished vs open sections.

Very calm puzzle game while you enjoy your first coffee of the morning.

As a minesweeper fan, i really like this game, as its mostly just brainless clicking and the proverbs are funny. BUT i wish there was an option to turn off the aggressive zoom when using hint, it zooms in way too much and way too fast. i dont use it often but when i do, i feel the motion sickness coming

I can't believe a mix of picross/nonograms feels this exciting. The massive canvas might look daunting, but it's split into self-contained (and thus solvable in much shorter time!) regions which happen to roughly correspond to the titular proverbs Bruegels painted into [i]Netherlandish Proverbs[/i], giving fun little breaks to the play as well as introducing me to some fun new proverbs I'm certain to remember 10 years from now while doing the dishes.
