I wish I had listened to the negative reviews. I bought this a couple of years ago for £2.39 in a sale with a pile of other games. It’s sat in my backlog forgotten in that time, till I came along looking to clear down the backlog and wanted something easy going to play and figured I’d give it a go. It’s basically just Half Life 2, but without the gravity gun, and indeed almost all the story, characters, puzzles exploration and detailed world stripped out. What you are left with is the combat, and to be honest that’s not that great either. I played the whole thing, since it was only two to three hours long. I added MMOD which has a compatibility mod for this, which improves the gun play and graphics, but is why I have such a low playtime showing for this. The gunplay is solid, as is the atmosphere, AI, sound design etc, but that’s all stuff from Half Life 2 or improved upon by MMOD. The only area where it’s Prospekt itself bringing something is it’s world design, which is nice looking, but again it’s a remix of familiar industrial eastern European environments and combine facilities. The design of the combat encounters isn’t great though, there’s a lot of very open areas with no cover. The plot is incomprehensible, you play as Shephard from Opposing Force who seems to be shanghaied from G-Man’s prison to help Gordon, except you end up teleporting to a power station then a combine space station, and it’s not really clear why. Apart from some the Vortigants yapping at you, there is no direct interaction with any other friendly characters until the end of the game. You have audio flashbacks of the lead up to the Black Mesa incident for Shephard’s squad, but this is just generic military dialogue about training and some banter. There’s no interesting character work or plot reveals. If the game hadn’t revealed you play Shephard at the start it could have at least worked as a bit of a reveal, but it doesn’t event have that. Further into the game it appears that the G-Man has become helping you, then you seem to wander into a power core of the space station and cause an overload, from which the Vortigants rescue you, but then they get killed by G-Man you end up back where you started, in stasis. As an aside, while fan made, this seems like it’s supposed to fit into the Half Life canon, yet breaks that by showing the Combine having site to site teleportation, which HL2 explicitly says they don’t have. Overall it’s a boring, low tier C grade campaign at best. I feel bad in some ways giving this such a negative review, this appears to be the work of a single person who did make an effort to improve on the game after the initial negative reputation, but the bottom line is there are a large number of fantastic HL2 mods, for free, that blast this out of the water in comparison. Prospekt doesn’t even have the comedy value of Hunt Down the Freeman, it’s ultimately just quite boring. Don’t buy it unless it’s on sale, and frankly, don’t do it unless you’ve exhausted all the massive amount of free Half Life content available and are utterly desperate for something else.

Я как жесткий фанат халф лайф и в том числе оппосинг форс, скажу что мод полная залупа. Существуют десятки, если не сотни модов по ХЛ 2 которые ЛУЧШЕ, А ЕЩЕ ОНИ БЕСПЛАТНЫЕ. Нет погружения что ты играешь именно за Шепарда, вам было лень буквально сделать или скачать готовую модель рук Шепарда с интернета которых десятки, но не было лень делать отдельные модельки комбайнов на Орбитальной станции Альянса и пофиксите комбайна в мире Зен, который стоит и втыкает не трогая игрока, прошло ♥♥♥♥ 10-12 лет, а эту ♥♥♥♥♥ еще не пофиксили, вам так лень пару строк кода изменить? Короче, геймплей 7\10, атмосфера 3/10, геймндизайн, а точнее мапинг 8\10, Зен все испортил, как и новапроспект, а так было бы 10, общее качество мода 5/10.Не советую покупать ребята, лучше скачайте из стороннего сайта и пройдите там.

很不推荐者游戏，关卡设计垃圾，剧情基本没有，武器直接照搬的半条命2，要不是对话里强调了主角是谢泼德，我还以为主角是戈登呢，你甚至都不愿吧撬棍的模型换成扳手，如果说猎杀弗里曼是因为主要是离谱的恶性bug造成的评价低，这个就是纯粹的垃圾，我的评价是不如猎杀弗里曼，猎杀还有新意剧情也还行，这个啥都没有，还不如一般的免费mod。

на средней сложности играть невозможно, в некоторых местах врагов больше, чем можно победить игроку. однотипные локации и плохой геймдизайн, даже не понятно куда идти чтобы продвинуться по сюжету
