Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.14/day in the week to Sep 14 → 9.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very much worth it plane go fast badaboom
I prefer this over Ace Combat 7 ngl
Despite a pretty small team this thing is up there on par with Ace Combat in quality and length. Very fun.

Amazing game so simple yet fun
A fun arcade plane game. That and the lore is also quite interesting.

good story
I've never played any flight sims/flight shooters prior to Project Wingman, however I have since played every numbered Ace Combat title (including X and Infinity, excluding 3). I will accordingly provide views from the lens of a total newbie and series veteran. The gameplay is fantastic. While there is a learning curve if you're unfamiliar with flight controls, they're intuitive enough to get the hang of relatively quickly. Once you gain an understanding of how to fly, the experience is unlike anything I've ever experienced. Feeling the stress of dodging missiles from all directions while blowing up all sorts of targets with a wide variety of guns, missiles, bombs and railguns is the sort of awesome feeling that just makes you say "hell yeah". Additionally, the core gameplay loop of destroying targets to gain currency to buy stronger planes to blow up more targets is very well executed, it adds a progression system that keeps the player wanting more and more as they continue further down the story. Series veterans will also appreciate the ability to equip 3 special weapons and the AoA limiter which is just pure dogfighting fun (think PSMs on crack). The soundtrack is phenomenal. Every song immerses you into each mission perfectly. It was actually the soundtrack itself that got me into this game originally. The wonderful orchestral scores composed by Jose Pavli is just sheer perfection and carved out its own special place within my heart. On the topic of aesthetics, the visual design of Project Wingman is pretty good. The ground and explosion textures are a little jarring if seen up close, but rest of the game looks great. Despite not having the rights to use real-life planes, the approximations in the game look fantastic and should leave almost every player satisfied. The overall story is good, however it does leave a little to be desired. It serves its purpose of getting you from mission to mission but the lack of any proper character development outside of radio chatter and one "cutscene" makes it a little difficult to really be drawn into the world.
Crimson 1 gaslighting you is very funny though, but it's sort of at the ending's expense.
That being said, I would be lying if I didn't feel like a total badass almost singlehandedly turning the tide of a war. Just don't expect anything "wow" worthy. Lastly, post game content feels unfinished. After finishing the game, you unlock Mercenary mode as a sort of New Game+ with much harder missions, the incredibly fun
PK-mk1 and some additional dialogue during the credits
. Unfortunately, the difficulty in Mercenary mode seems to end after the first few missions and returns to almost the same as a normal hard mode playthrough which makes it just feel like another run to farm up money to buy any planes missing from your collection. Conquest Mode serves as a roguelike mode but it also feels unfinished. The mission variety gets very stale, especially with how long it takes to actually complete and along with the fact that if you fail once, you have to go through the whole process again. it ends up being a tedious slog where you complete it once and never again. As an overall game, Project Wingman is a very fun indie flight action game. It provides high-octane action from a multi-million dollar war machine while taking you through the story of a country's fight for independence with all the cheese associated with it. If it's on sale and you've never played a flight sim, I recommend you pick it up. Who knows? Maybe it'll be fun enough to get you into the Ace Combat series... speaking of which... As a now hardened Ace Combat veteran, this game is great. So great in fact, it might as well be an Ace Combat game. As stated before, the story leaves a little to be desired but it makes up for it in gameplay. having 3 special weapons and a machine gun that's better than any other gun seen in AC makes this game feel like AC but turned up to 11. If you also can't wait for Ace Combat 8, consider Project Wingman, it's seriously that good.
