Posting the review to help boost the algorithm: TLDR A simple yet fun game which shows clear inspiration from both Devil Dagger and Hyper Demon yet twists the formula by changing core gameplay concepts. And all of them are really fun, too. Your goal in the game is to compete for highest scores, either survival time or 'style' points by playing risky. The fact your DPS scales with how low your health is makes the game interesting in a sense you intentionally want to stay low to clear threats efficiently, but also to use health pickups wisely so you don't get overwhelmed. You are also armed with long-range grappling hook esque pulls and simple yet fluid air controls that make the gameplay *very* vertical, especially when you get later in the run. There are some minor flaws, such as the 'terminal velocity' instakill off of a grapple being not very reliable, if at all, and lack of iframes when hit. But that aside, it's well worth a shot if you enjoy hop in, hop out shooters. It really is a steal for the asking price. Also has quite challenging achievements if you're the type of person to go after them. EDIT: I've done a full run killing all 3 main bosses and I still stand by my opinion; game is extremely fun and is a blast to play. The barrier to entry is a little high, but if you can get past it you're in for a satisfying and hectic experience.

You ever learn how to fly in a dream, and then when you wake up, the technique of how to fly painfully alludes you? This game is much like that, except you learn how to fly in the worst fever dream of your life. This is a special game. It is a perfect simulation of paranoid insanity. The whole time you feel like you're going to slip into madness, it never truly feels like you have a grasp of what is happening. The three hours that I played straight I tried so many different techniques and strategies. Primordial Pain will make you feel like a gloriously mad prisoner trapped forever in a crack in between dimensions. Hat's off to the Devs, wonderful, divine piece of work. I'd argue this is more than just a game.

Imagine Hyper Demon on LSD, and you fight bubbles, spikes and eyeballs in rings... need to add mouse inversion asap!
A game clearly inspired by Devil Daggers and Hyper Demon, it's a pretty meh game everytime you use ammo you die..for some reason.
Review after 100% Achievements: Very fun arena shooter that is a middle ground between Killbug (entry-level) and Hyper Demon/Devil Daggers (high level). Gameplay revolves around quick decision making, quick and precise aerial movements, and having a large canister of copium on standby for deaths that obviously weren't your fault. 8/10
i really like it when i do a big stomp and the screen goes nuts

It's fun, but difficult and complicated when playing make sure to take breaks every 15 minutes or so, or else your eyes might get a bit exhausted Although I do wish this game saved your own replays locally in some way as I'd like to view my replays from time to time, maybe a temporary storage with a way to save replays permanently? that'd be neat
This game + ur favorite album cant go wrong
