This game is 100% worth the price. The game itself is a short, fairly linear story around 1 hour but the impact and message it has is pretty impressive considering the short playthrough. Would recommend especially due to the cheap price of the game
spoilers ahead: this is a pseudo-game with basically no gameplay elements that attempts to shield itself under the guise of irony. it fails at even that as murphy is one of the most boring characters i have ever seen in my entire life, and i was not at all affected at his death. hes the notes from the underground narrator for "former gifted kids" who were really just average. when all is said and done this block of text pretending to be a game is a short story, and a bad one at that

It's been a few days since I played this game, and I have not stopped thinking about it. I did not have much of an idea going in what sort of experience this was going to be, I mean, it's in the name (it had the potential to be, well, ANYTHING). But I did not expect to come out of the end of this having experienced such a wide range of emotions There are moments you will chuckle, laugh even. At times you will feel tense, or empathize with Murphy in ways which you thought you were alone in feeling. There are segments when you will reflect on your own life, and inevitably, times in which you will be devastated, having thought you used your potential to the fullest. With that in mind, cease squandering what lies within, but don't lose sight of its context when aiming for the stars!
It's a funny and relatable visual novel with /very/ scripted rpg encounters that go by quickly. The game is super short, got to the ending in a little under an hour without me speedrunning through it. I'm a little disappointed with the RPG encounters though still very much enjoyed the game as a whole. The ending had me in shock, I was staring at my screen with my jaw wide open trying to understand what just happened. This can't be it though, I still have 8 hidden achievements and I sense the potential secrets this game is hiding. Banger soundtrack btw that ♥♥♥♥ rocks
i have unleashed my potential, man
i like this game but still it kinda sucked that there was only one ending i tried different options even one i thought would work like not following murphy even though it just gave me a new scene that's it but still the ending just felt almost exactly like the ending for TADC were the "jerk" character dies and everyone morns but you still win at the end. not to mention Trevor angstrom from kiff is in this game for whatever reason but still the combat and stuff is just for show and this game would've been better as a animated series like, kiff, or TADC and its obviously inspired by those shows too since it literally took Trevor from that show and placed him into this game. even though this game has one ending even though I'm kinda sad it doesn't have more I'm just gonna try my best to 100%. I'm also sad that there's no villain or any obstacle in this game asides from the eagle which is just sad a lot of good shows, movies and media need a villain and the eagle was just used for the single sad backstory the squirrel told us about and i don't even get the satisfaction of seeing the tree potential man could turn into honestly the potential of this game should just get turned into a animated series or a book or it could just get fleshed out more with updates to come but still i thought this was gonna be another thing to add to my favorites, but still i wish you the best since this could have had more potential man. the songs and art were good too but see you soon once your a bit better. i finally 100% the game and parts of it are kinda cool but its sad the only end is death its kinda sad i really wanted a good ending were potential man becomes a great tree murphy gets off his bum and gets a better life maybe even get a medical degree and maybe even get his life back together but....... nope i get disappointment and misery seeing the character i fell in love with die in the most brutal way possible. so my take after i 100%ed it is that it could have had better potential but this game floundered it with the most creepy pasta-esc ending I've ever seen not to mention the other character's asides from potential man and murphy have little to no importance and I've fully completed this game and I've barley seen that much of murphy's friends. so is this worth your money not yet you might have to wait till this game has more endings like a good one and the existing one (the bad ending) and more if anyone wants more, plus make the games different options lead to different outcomes so when i replay this game it can be a bit more fun. if i ever come back i hope this game lives up to its potential or imagined potential since i had high high hopes for this game i spent 2 firkin dollars on it so it damn well be a bit better. so i guess il see you two again Noah and Casen when this gets better.
Made me upset.
These days growing up feels like an eternal battle between tryhards and burnouts. Sometimes we're both. Sometimes we're neither. Neither of them are "human" by any stretch of the imagination. Let's get down to business, and consume, consume the soy.
