I'm regret nothing
Great game! I suggest everyone should play it atleast once! The beauty of Postal I is that, well, it's very horrifying once you think about it. You don't know why 'the dude' went insane at all. Even if you look deeper into the lore of Postal I, the already vague story starts being more confusing than it needs to be. This game doesn't give you a way to interpret it, the game tells you that the interpretation is something you need to figure out. Although, a universal theme that will eventually come up in all interpretations is that this game shows how policies which make mental health worse, while at the same time destroying any services to help with mental health leads to well, 'the dude' going postal. It particularly hit hard since my home state has been destroyed by Neoliberal economic policies which were implemented during the 80's and 90's, which gutted literally everything in our economy besides service industry jobs. Of course, this led to the mental health of Rust-Belters going to rock bottom, it's no wonder Ohio was once the epicenter of the opioid epidemic. The 2003 Ohio highway "sniper" attacks also come to mind, it's likely that the reasons behind that are similar to why 'Postal dude' went on a rampage. Well, I hope you enjoyed my review. Don't hold back, play this game as soon as you can, it will change your perspective.
