As one developer said, the game was in development for more than 8 years. What can I say, these 8+ years went into nothing. This game doesn't deserve any good reviews at all. I bought it when it was in early access. It was a buggy, boring, low-quality mess. I decided to give it a chance and I regret it. If I knew how this game would end, I would blacklist the devs. It doesn't worth the money even today with -80% offer. You want to know something funny? When I was playing and the game was in early access, in 2021, you couldnt use your gun. It was only taser. Do you want to know when they finally added ability to lawfully use your gun? Only in 2026. 4+ years. 4+ years took these devs to make your gun usable. But even when it finally became usable, the whole mechanic of using it was made so awful, that it's just sad. The game itself is boring as hell, the same dialogues, the same voices, the same incidents, the same cars. Everything is the same. Devs stopped making any proper free content once early access ended. After early access ended it was just a constant dlcs slop feeding machine that exist with a sole purpose to take your money. They didn't make driving in the game any better, they added no GOOD QoL updates, most bugs would be fixed only months later if they are not critical, same with proper updates. You want to know one more funny thing? Don't jump into politics, but this one little moment - when the 2022 events in the Ukraine started, they blocked their game in Russian region. But now, in 2026, when their game is literally dead, they unblocked it. And now, in 2026, they annouce that "it's high time to pack things up and move on a new project". They're basically saying that they are abandoning their dead game and now will try to make a "new" one. And this was their message to the players (see below). It's just some corpo bs, ISTG that everything here is just straight up lies, because I was watching this game all these years and I'm tired from them. If you about buying this traffic cop simulator in 2026 or in the future - don't. Find a better game with a better devs that trully "listen to their community's feedback". At the same time, maintaining and expanding a cross-platform game over such a long period inevitably comes with increasing technical limitations specially as the market and Platforms moved along. As the game and its systems have grown, changes in certain areas have become significantly more complex, while some improvements can no longer be implemented within the existing technical foundation without rebuilding substantial parts of the game. After more than eight years of development and support, we have therefore reached a point where continuing to expand Police Simulator: Patrol Officers in the way both we and you would like is no longer realistically possible. However, your feedback does not go unheard. Quite the opposite: it gives us a very clear understanding of what matters to the Police Simulator community, which areas are most important to you, and what you expect from a police simulation experience. For the Police Simulator brand, this feedback is extremely valuable and provides clear guidance for the future. While this marks the end of active development for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers, it does not mean the end of Police Simulator.
