One of my favorite games; I’m trying to get all the achievements, but it’s not a grind like in some other games. Quite the opposite—it’s pure pleasure. Unlocking things, strategizing, and planning brings great satisfaction.

It`s surprising how you can combine what seem like two completely different fields, disease and strategy, but the studio Ndemic managed to bring that to life. For most people it looks like a simple disease simulator where you play as the disease itself, wiping out the world, but the more you play, the more you realize this is one of the most unique strategy games we currently have. The huge variety of possible outcomes, multiplied by probability theory, results in gameplay moments that most other strategy games won`t be able to match anytime soon. The game is unique in every aspect. Plague Inc became a kind of reinvention of the strategy genre, constantly pushing you into very different situations and forcing you to plan everything carefully in advance, since any mistake can affect the outcome of the game. The developers really put in the work, the strategy setting is genuinely interesting and dressed up with great visuals that make you feel like you`re not just controlling the disease, you literally are the disease. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to try themselves in a non standard strategy genre. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ (9/10)
