As a long-time roguelike enthusiast this game definitely goes above and beyond my expectations, especially as an indie game. Retro music is spot-on, high variability of item-drops, and a higher than expected skill cap ceiling makes each run exciting and a pleasure to play through. I've played this game since it was still in early-access and the bugs/gameplay has definitely improved since being fully released. Would definitely recommend!

Plague Breaker is a neat game I can't say that Metroid-vanias are my cup of tea, but the time I spent with the game was enjoyable. If this genre is your cup of tea, you ought to give Plague Breaker a shot. The dev is clearly passionate for the genre, and the gameplay is solid.
Castlevania-ish gameplay but randomized and with more weapon and item variety. Really cool!
Plague Breaker might seem like a simple game, but it is actually quite ingenious and creative in it's design. This game is more than just a platformer, it is also a puzzle and a problem solving challenge in which the player needs to think carefully about their decisions in order to beat every level. Mechanically this game holds many details that, when understood and used correctly, add to the flavour and experience. I would suggest Plague Breaker for those who enjoy a challenge and a came that is much more than it seems on the surface.
Really solid Roguelite that's quite underrated. While Plague Breaker never reaches the level of polish or gameplay highs from the titles it draws inspiration from, it manages to carve out it's own niche that has a certain charm in its simplicity. I would say it would be similar to if you took a classic NES Castlevania and turned it into a Roguelite and even added co-op to it. Just like in a classic NES title, the mechanics, controls, stages ,and enemys are all simple in design which allows for clear understanding of what's happening. Given the increasing complexity of the modern Roguelite, I think there's a certain appeal in that for a lot of people, particularly fans of classic games.
This game balances difficulty and fun well. Just enough randomness to keep things interesting. Awesome.
This is a fun game I enjoy playing in local co-op. As noted by another reviewer, this game has some catastrophic bugs which make the game unplayable. After finishing boss fights, the controller stops working where some buttons stop working and the player moonwalks everywhere and can't change direction. That might be OK for the king of pop but not for me.
Changing my review to positive (was originally negative because the last 2 achievements were bugged) because the Developer actually came back to the game, fixed the issues & it's possible to be 100%'ed now! Just got my 100% :) Overall review - Game is short, doesn't have much content (for now) but it's pretty fun! It reminds me of Castlevania but without the janky controls. There is enemy & boss variety although it could get stale within 5-10 runs.
