About
Pixel Starships 2 is a starship building and battle game in an MMO universe. Featuring full ship customization, online fleets, exploration, programmable AI, detailed planning, micro-management, and complex battle tactics. The strategy mechanics are inspired by games such as FTL, Eve online, and Final Fantasy, and XCom.
Engage in epic real-time or asynchronous battles in Pixel Starships 2, where you command your fully-customized starship in strategic PvP and PvE combat across the galaxy. Layout your crew, program advanced battle AI, and unleash devastating combos as you face off against players from around the world in intense tactical showdowns.
In addition to a new graphics engine, PSS2 introduces a number of new gameplay mechanics. Oxygen and door access is now available. Ensure your mission critical rooms are well connected. New weapons facilities such as the bomb launcher introduce a new layer of depth. Room placement is even more important with bonuses for optimal placement.
The programmable AI system is back with improvements. New filtering conditions allow fine-grain control for AFK setup. At the same time new AI chip unlocking, Presets, Layouts, and Templates allow quick strategic changes.
The economy in the game is entirely market driven. You can loot, mine, craft, and re-sell items and equipment. Take advantage of resources in specific regions to create rare items. Control lucrative planets and trade routes for maximum economic advantage.
Discover new races and crew each with new unique abilities. Crew members now have 6 core stats, plus 4 resistance and skill stats which can be trained and leveled up to take on various specializations. Send your crew on new away missions to take down monsters on different planets.
eSports tournaments are a big part of Pixel Starships. New league and tournament modes are coming soon. The tournament system is now split into amateur and professional leagues to suit differing level of play.
We will continue to post development updates on the steam page and forums. Please add the game to your wishlist to receive upcoming updates.

This game is hard to like. It plays like Pixel Starships, which is already barebones as it was. Now Pixel Starships was always bland, you get a ship, upgrade it then go pvp with other ship layouts. Thats basically it, the story and events are just to get resources. Nothing goes beyond this FTL mmo clone. It worked because there was some f2p elements, and if you play this on android, a way to get ingame cash. Fighting other ships was good, there is lots of strategies if you sink your time in. Pixel Starships 2 though...brings nothing new. You can coat a old car in gold paint, but unless under the old car hood was good, then its still a gold old car. But it still in Beta, so we've yet to see what they plan to do.
A pretty boring building game that not much excited that for player to hyper with.

This game has far too many bugs and glitches to be playable right now. I've spent more time restarting and reinstalling that actually playing the game. and what's worse is the "report bugs" button does not work. it jsut makes a noise and that's it.
nearly a year later day 1 graphical glitches still not fixed.
Graphics are better but thats about it, I'm not sure why SavySoda released 2nd game.. -Removed 8 hr speed up (PC) / Ad for starbux (Mobile) -Removed daily trader ship -Removed floating starbux -Removed space encounters to get starbux -Construction drone is now used as mining drone as well, now it's single resource bottleneck That's what I found so far in few hours of gameplay. Listen, if you plan on making a sequel, most games increase QoL and keep features players want. For example you want to remove floating starbux to reduce premium currency? fine just add floating minerals or gas at least. Game devs seem to have gone out of their way to brainstorm all the ways to make game worse in terms of QoL, fun, and most importantly add no value that game is in 3D now, why not add new camera angle? how about strategy now that it's in 3d? positional combat with tactical card selection like endless space would've been great addition. This game is prime example of what happens to video games when business people are in charge.
Just lost 250 starbux thanks too broken "Rearm all" Button. PSS2 broken cashgrab just like PSS1. Waiting for telepsam ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ again. Dont play this ♥♥♥♥. concept is great but rest is just wrong.
This game is a trashfire of bugs on both Steam and the Android version. The devs steal your money, ignore emails and its such a bad cash grab that its basically dead. Believe all those negative reviews, they are true.
... dlouho jsem čekal, než jsem se rozhodl ohodnotit tuhle hru. (Prioritně jeduu na tabletu, mimo Steam.) A to z jediného důvodu, hraju i PSS1, a to několik let. A PSS2 ještě přitvrdila, ... ... Ušetříte si hafo peněz a nervů. AI translate ... ... I waited a long time before deciding to review this game. (I mostly play on tablet / no Steam) And for one reason only: I’ve been playing PSS1 for several years now. I still remember the days when they boasted that it was an amateur project, so people tried to make excuses for the constant bugs. But what can I say about a game where even the bug reporting system is bugged? It’s the same as with PSS1. A game with enormous potential, but run by someone brutally incompetent, so one bug follows another. The game’s functionality is somewhere around 15–20% +/-. And of course, they have no shame in asking for a hefty sum of money. Even with PSS1, people said it was more P2W than F2P. And PSS2 has taken it even further... "the more money you send us, the more bugs we’ll send you" ... so if any of you know a game with similar mechanics that isn’t called Pixel StarBugs 2 or 1, feel free to let me know... I’d be happy to put an end to this non-functional, bug-ridden, full-on P2W piece of crap. And even though I really hate to say this, it’s precisely because of the potential that’s been untapped for at least three years and has been milked dry. My advice: ... give PSS projects a wide berth. ... You’ll save yourself a ton of money and stress.
Originally, I had a terrible experience with the offerwall promotion for this game, which led to my initial negative review. However, after further investigation, the support team acknowledged the setup error, took responsibility, and manually credited my rewards. Since the issue has been fully resolved and the team demonstrated a fair commitment to their users, I am updating my review to positive. The game itself is fun and worth trying!
Why this fits me: Space strategy focused Heavy resource farming, playable in short (~5 min) or long sessions Cross-platform: PC, Android, iOS Has gacha mechanics (crew), but still considered reasonably F2P-friendly Long-standing pre-release with frequent patches Active dev team and regular balance updates Known for a strong, helpful community structure The 400+ hours on Android also matches the kind of long-term progression loop the game is built around.
