For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Pharaoh Rebirth+ is a charming 2D action-adventure that takes the familiar foundations of a Metroidvania and gives them a wonderfully eccentric archaeological theme. Instead of relying on a grim hero or conventional fantasy setting, the adventure follows Dr. Jonathan Banfield, a renowned treasure hunter who happens to be a rabbit. The premise sounds deliberately absurd, yet the game treats it as the foundation for a surprisingly cohesive journey filled with Egyptian ruins, supernatural curses, hidden treasures, unusual characters, platforming, combat, and exploration. It was developed by KROBON station and Vaka Game Magazine, with Vaka Game Magazine serving as publisher. Jonathan's expedition begins after discovering Amshear, a legendary Egyptian oasis filled with archaeological artifacts. His search is interrupted by former companion Andre Betancourt, whose reckless actions eventually result in an ancient sarcophagus being opened. This releases an evil force and leaves both characters cursed to die within seven days. Jonathan's solution is suitably adventurous: travel throughout Egypt and recover seven holy grails capable of cleansing the curse of Sehur the First. The story does not attempt to become a serious archaeological drama. Instead, Egyptian mythology and treasure hunting are mixed with playful dialogue and intentionally quirky situations, producing an identity that separates the experience from darker games in the genre. Exploration is the heart of the adventure. Areas contain routes, obstacles, treasures, enemies, and secrets that encourage players to investigate instead of simply moving toward the next objective. Progression gradually expands Jonathan's capabilities, allowing previously inaccessible locations to become reachable. This creates the satisfying cycle expected from a strong exploration-driven platformer, where discovering an obstacle can be just as important as immediately overcoming one. Remembering suspicious locations and returning later with the appropriate ability makes the world feel interconnected rather than like a collection of unrelated stages. Treasure hunting is particularly well integrated into progression. More than 80 treasures are scattered throughout the adventure, and they are not merely decorative collectibles. Some improve statistics while others enhance Jonathan's abilities, giving exploration practical value. Finding optional items therefore contributes directly to becoming stronger and better equipped. More than 10 sub-weapons further expand the available options, allowing players to experiment with different tools during exploration and combat. This variety keeps the relatively straightforward action from becoming too repetitive and reinforces Jonathan's identity as a resourceful adventurer. Combat remains accessible while providing enough challenge to complement the platforming. Jonathan's unusual rabbit characteristics are incorporated into the action, giving movement and attacks additional personality. Standard enemies provide regular resistance while bosses demand greater attention to positioning, attack patterns, and timing. The game does not attempt to compete with highly technical action titles, but that works in its favor because fighting rarely distracts from exploration. A dedicated boss rush mode provides an additional challenge for players who enjoy the combat enough to test themselves against major encounters without replaying the entire adventure. Another welcome feature is the choice between Easy, Normal, and Hard difficulty settings. This allows newcomers to concentrate on exploration and story while giving experienced players a more demanding option. There is also an additional stage featuring new enemies and another boss, providing meaningful extra content rather than a purely cosmetic addition. Combined with treasure collecting and boss rush, these features give completion-focused players worthwhile objectives beyond simply reaching the conclusion. The pixel-art presentation complements the design exceptionally well. Characters are expressive, environments have distinct visual identities, and the Egyptian setting provides plenty of opportunities for temples, ruins, artifacts, underground passages, and supernatural imagery. Despite drawing inspiration from older side-scrolling adventures, the game has enough personality to avoid feeling like a simple imitation. Its humor is equally important. The unusual protagonist, exaggerated archaeological adventure, eccentric supporting cast, and strange situations establish a consistently playful atmosphere without undermining the sense of discovery. The biggest limitation is that its ambitions are comparatively modest beside larger modern Metroidvanias. Players expecting enormous maps, elaborate character builds, extensive role-playing systems, or extremely sophisticated combat may find the experience relatively simple. Its old-school structure and peculiar humor will also appeal more naturally to players who enjoy Japanese indie games and retro-inspired adventures. However, the smaller scale allows the experience to remain focused. Instead of padding the journey with excessive systems, it concentrates on exploration, collectibles, platforming, upgrades, and memorable encounters. Steam Deck compatibility is officially categorized as Playable rather than Verified. The game runs successfully on SteamOS, its interface text is considered legible, and the default graphics configuration performs well. However, some manual preparation may be required. Controller support needs to be enabled through the game's settings, the native Steam Deck resolution may need to be selected manually, and the launcher or certain functions can require touchscreen input, the virtual keyboard, or a community controller configuration. Incorrect controller icons can occasionally appear as well. These inconveniences prevent a completely seamless handheld experience, but once properly configured, the 2D gameplay and controller-friendly structure are well suited to portable sessions. Ultimately, Pharaoh Rebirth+ succeeds through personality and focused design rather than sheer scale. Its rabbit archaeologist, supernatural Egyptian adventure, interconnected exploration, extensive treasure collecting, ability progression, sub-weapons, bosses, difficulty choices, extra stage, and humorous characters combine into an experience that feels distinctive even within a crowded genre. Players willing to embrace its retro presentation and eccentric premise will find an entertaining adventure that consistently rewards curiosity and exploration. Rating: 8/10

A competently built 2D platformer with some light metroidvania elements (upgrades you find in later stages pave the way to secret side paths in earlier stages that lead to further upgrades and collectables). Not too difficult outside of the final boss and extra stage/boss providing a healthy challenge (nothing like crazy kaizo stuff though). Charming characters, good quality spritework, tight controls, a well managed sense of exploration (while I didn't get everything, I did do some amount of backtracking because I wanted to see what new unlocks/dialogue I could find). All around a good experience outside of one particular "on rails" stage involving a car that's pretty tedious. You may also appreciate it more if you have "tired gamer" syndrome and just want a very classic feeling full-package experience that doesn't overstay its welcome.
Another amazing metroidvania by Team Ladyb- by people who later founded Team Ladybug. Even if there's no "Team Lady-", there sure are "-bugs". After finishing the game, I was running around collecting the remaining items. At one point I opened Steam interface. After closing it, the game wasn't frozen, but I couldn't do anything, neither keyboard nor gamepad worked. After a few attempts of opening and closing Steam interface, I gave up and had to Alt+F4. This closed the game and corrupted my save file. It seems the "Never before seen extra stage" mentioned in the description shall remain unseen for some years to come yet. By me, at least. This is only one of many game-breaking or save-breaking bugs from what I read. Still, gameplay, characters, dialogues, visuals, audio and so on are great. Back your save file up regularly.
Objectively:
7.5/10 (9/10, if you're lucky)
Pharaoh Rebirth+

Time Played:
4.4 Hours
Last Played:
14th of January, 2026

Waiting for Terraria 1.4.5: Volume 12.
Yay:
+ Selecting “windowed” in the launcher, then clicking the desired resolution in the upper-right of the language select screen, before “maximise” in the upper left will put it into borderless window mode. + Controller worked immediately, without literally any fussing, or fighting... + ...and worked to begin with, something that seems to be a roulette specifically with indie games from Japan/Nihon/Nippon. + The game is way more ambitious than I thought it would be, as a segment in the first level with a bridge utilises the background to great effect. + Clear damage indicator, showing a red number with accompanying sound, animation, and invincibility frames thereafter. You'd think making when you did, and did not take damage indisputable in any game would be a given, but I recently revisited, reviewed, then abandoned Starbound, which did not have such a luxury. + Various hidden/gated items you need to remember and come back for. +
In spite of them not being main treasures, some of the Collection items have various effects that help greatly.
+ Something you can do in stage 1 that at-first seems only for the humour winds up giving you one of these hidden items, which has an effect outside of filling a slot on your collection page.
For those that want specifics, after the first boss, keep attacking Andre. Jack will chastise you. Continue this twice-more, and you'll get a shell item that boosts defence.
+ This is to state that in addition to
satisfaction, and lore, some of these items have effects.
+ While it's separated by levels, these each have their own explorable maps, Order of Ecclesia-style, preserving the Metroid/Castlevania elements, and rewarding exploration. + For probably the first time ever in any game of this type, I saw a use for sub weapons. +
Stage 4 does something I thought it would not, and added some admittedly-funny context that enhances an earlier moment.

Meh:
~ Semi-odd controls. In spite of most modern controllers having more than 2 buttons, you need to push A + B at-once to jump-dash...and B/O is what the jump button is by default. As everything's rebindable, though, this is a minor issue. To pause, you also click the right stick, rather than push any traditional button.
Once you get the materials for it/if you do, the map is accessed via double-tapping up.

Nay:
- No in-game options menu. - ...or option to quit out once in. - Character handling is a bit floaty. - I would not consider the dialogue to be among the best. - ...and also think it interrupts things to unnecessarily-large degrees. - Some of it feels wholly-unnecessary, too, as the instructions for
an out-of-place Quick time event in Level 3/Chapter 2 has the same instruction repeating 3+ times in a row.
This struck me as player faithlessness. - Stage 2/second-non-prologue level dials the difficulty up sharply... - Stage 4 is even worse as you must use a janky “Sniper mode” that doesn't lock your movement to fight owls that bafflingly petrify you on-contact, and demands you use a very inconsistent grappling mechanic on moving hooks that only give you enough height to mount platforms if you time things perfectly...or get lucky. - This is to type that the enemy powers/status effects make 0 sense to me. - I also wish they went with more Egyptian-themed enemies, as all of them but two encountered by the give-up point of Stage 5 were animals... - Yes, you read that right, I stopped even trying to play at Stage 5, which is not only an autoscroller, but requires you to have to jump at the perfect time for pits, throws enemies you need to be perfect to hit at you...then preposterously demands you both beat it without getting hit, and dying, to get all achievements. I'll spare my sanity of merely beating the level, thank you.

Verdict:
Unfortunately, I found this to be far from the Bunn-phony of the Night it was trying to be, and nowhere near the Bunn-Mulana I thought it was going to be like. If you enjoy having completely unrealistic expectations forced upon you, while also battling the character handling, being interrupted to read every 3 rooms, and cheap enemy placement within systems that simply don't work as they're supposed to, this is the game for you. For everyone else, me included, I'd say this is an easy pass.
Placed in:
4: Dourly-Dismissed.
Short and fun adventure, great characters & a narrative that actually had me surprisingly engaged. There's no reason not to play it, especially for how cheap it goes. Really impressive for a near one-man project.
