Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 691/day in the week to Jul 17 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Good concept. Honest potential but dang upfront on the monthly payments. This is NOT FREE TO PLAY. You need a plot of land to do just about anything other than collecting rocks. I found a lovely location by the water and got to checking out how to get plot tokens (looking ahead as you need a token per plot a month). We'll, you either get the 6.99 subscription or pay 5 bucks each month and hopefully you wont forget. Its like the worse of the ark public servers and the subscription of ffxiv.. but worse on both sides as the game is not nearly as polished. I'd love to keep exploring this game as it seems like pretty grindy and slow burn... but at that point i'll just play ark evolved if i want base building. i didnt see a single player in a few hours of game

I'll start by saying I really wanted to like this. I've been following it since it was announced because I'm a big sandbox MMO fan and would love a decent modern medieval social sandbox in the vein of SWG, Wurm Online, UO etc. Unfortunately, this just doesn't deliver on any of that. Gathering and crafting feels like a basic survival game. There's no depth or variety it's just hit nodes that spawn in the same place, choose a prefab recipe then press craft. There's nothing interesting to that and all progression does is let you hit a node with a different name and craft a recipe with a different name, mechanically it's all the same and not very inspiring. Skills aren't presented as a core progression goal to work towards either and they don't have the mechanical variety to support that if they were. Presentation-wise, they sit in a sub-menu within a giant list with no icons or filters aside from a search bar and clicking one opens a very basic list of unlocks. It's not very inspiring and makes them feel like an afterthought. When you perform actions that grant XP, you get a very basic bar pop up with the skill name and progress. Again, it doesn't feel like something you could focus on as your intrinsic gameplay, they just feel like they're there as a numbered gate. Considering there isn't any interesting variety in gameplay or recipes for them to have any meaningful identity anyway, they basically are just a gate. Building is actually great - aside from not being able to terraform, but it never promised that - and things players have built look gorgeous which makes it all the more disappointing that the game's systems don't facilitate living in this amazing looking environment. The thing with sandbox games is that you need tools/systems to support creating gameplay in the sandbox. You can't just give people a bag of sand and expect them to have fun (though I'm not even sure there's enough here to compare it to a bag of sand). It also doesn't give you much agency over the physical world; there's no terraforming, no planting/farming, no dynamic aspect to mob spawns. It's just plopping stuff on top of a static environment which falls a bit flat. The core loop is closer to Conan Exiles than Eve, SWG or Wurm. For a "social sandbox" there's also very little here that facilities being social or working as a community. The game doesn't give any good reasons to travel to player towns aside from picking something up from a market stall and exploration stagnates pretty fast due to the static spawns of mobs and resources. Due to this and the map size, there aren't any local economies either so you're probably not going far for anything anyway. On the topic of market stalls, since you'll be crafting items over and over to level up, the majority of crafted items are worthless due to their abundance. I assume high level gear and rarer magic items are worth a bit more but I don't think you're going to find a place as the local blacksmith or tavern keeper here unfortunately. In short, this game had so much potential and they dropped the ball at almost every turn. SWG and Wurm are right there so why they designed gathering and crafting like this is beyond me. Could've been great but as it stands, everything just feels hollow and so it's hard to recommend.
I really love the building in this game. Like every game of it's type though, there is the lack of consistent shapes across all material types. The world is very well made and beautiful and is a joy to run around exploring. I would wish for more random travelers along the roads and maybe bandits that randomly show up at key junctions, but that's me being wishful. The game play itself is pretty good over all, though a bit clunky for party game play. The 2 issues I have with the game is how grindy the progression is. It's not a fun grind. I don't feel anything but relief when I reach a milestone, not elation or a sense of accomplishment. The 2nd issue I have is the Plot System. I understand the need to regulate space. Dune Awakening does this very well, though, a bit limiting overall, but the concept is great. the cost of plots is not something I would find sustainable unless I was only playing this game as a main focus of my gaming experience. The size of the plots are tiny, and the worst part, they are Round. When chaining them together, with more than 4 plots, there is an unusable gap in the center, that completely destroys any build. The workaround is to offset them, and have an irregular shaped plot system. There is a better way and this is what makes me not want to play or recommend this game. It just feels like a money grab and is a huge turn off.
Sad to say I got suckered into this game by friends. It was cool for about 3 weeks. Then all my interest... died. The grind is punishing when you can't even have a permanent plot. Subscription service based games like this are a time and money graveyard. Skip this title. Don't let the visual effects fool you. It's dead inside and out.
The game seems like a lot of fun, and I'm kinda enjoying my time with it. That being said, I would not recommend this game to anyone yet. Why? 1. The game launched some time ago, publishing its 1.0 version, but the game feels like it's still in early beta testing: - the world is huge, but there are no mounts to ride around (no, I don't wanna teleport all the time) - the animations are wonky - the attacks have very low impact and accuracy, making it hard to know when you will get hit or not - the building blocks/elements have weird placement styles, being very fiddly and hard to place correctly - the rotation of the blocks in not equal and differs from left to right by a few degrees (very annoying when building) - information about progression and development of character is scarce and weirdly placed (If u wanna craft something, you don't know where to look to find out what you need to do to achieve that) - when you enter the game, you need to ''praise the sun'' no matter what (you will always get blinded by the sun) - the sun in the game does not move smoothly, the new shadows just snap in place when the time passes (very immersion-breaking, especially when the game is built on vibes alone at this moment) - being in water drains stamina, and after that, health - there is no clear indication of where you find resources (there is a map divided by cool artwork, sadly, the legend representation is too small to distinguish anything on the big map) - you see cuts (the edge between world chunks or something) all over the map that brake emersion or block you from building a base where they are (because no one wants to see a random like that goes through the entire terrain in a game that is so beautiful) - there is no fishing 2. You need to pay a subscription because: - the plot you get is very small, allowing you to build only very tiny or cramped buildings - the game announces that a subscription is REQUIRED to play the game, so besides the box price, you need to pay another sum monthly to play - you will be forced to manually renew your base with in-game currency if you don't have a subscription, so if you are away from the game at the right time for more than 2 days(48h), your base is gone. 3. Progression is slow, largely because of your slow movement and lack of clear direction, so most people who have time to play only a few hours a month will feel like they make no progress at all. 4. There are way better games that have a similar vibe but play way better (I think the visuals are the only thing this game does better than the rest) Is this game fun? Not really, but it's enjoyable. If you are looking for a long grind and having long-term goals in a game that only forces you to pay a sum of money once per month you got your winner. Go grind rocks for half of the day just to barely finish the foundation of your house and live in a construction site for the foreseeable future. Why do I play this game? Mostly because I am bored and I have nothing to play at this moment, but also because I enjoy the looks and general vibes of this game. That being said, I could never recommend a game that was released in a ''full version'' yet feels like a beta game to someone.
I love this game. It has a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, there are many, many skills to learn, and it makes you feel like you accomplished something. Instead of getting bored, you explore and find something new. Every time I gain a new skill level, I feel very accomplished in this game. It's different than just leveling up because as you level skills, you unlock new recipes, things are easier to make, it makes this game worth it, and there are great communities as well.
This game is a slow burn paradise. Leveling, building, crafting, mat farming, dungeons, and powerful boss fights. Im completely addicted.
This is far from being a Game, it is a nice building engine The most worrying part is the updates are not addressing the lack of game mechanics while charging a monthly cost to play
I played Pax Dei hardcore at release — 316 hours on record — and it checked a lot of boxes early on. But once you start exploring, the cracks show fast. The world feels copy‑pasted, with the same zones repeated across every map. You can run for long stretches without seeing a single mob, then suddenly walk into a camp where enemies rubber‑band all over the place and ten NPCs aggro at once, pulling the entire camp with them. The crafting system is a nightmare. It forces you to waste days or weeks failing crafts just to level up. Nobody wants to make 900 iron skinning knives just to progress. The marketplace desperately needs to be global instead of forcing players to run around endlessly. Progression is also gated behind pure iron, which basically pushes you into the PvP zone whether you want to be there or not. The plot system is awful — you should get one free plot per month that expires unless you maintain it with a simple item, similar to how V Rising uses blood to keep bases active. If players want more space, then charge for additional plots. There’s almost no reason to travel to other maps unless you enjoy dropping to 12 FPS while looking at massive player structures. And honestly, one of the biggest missing features is something simple: waterfalls. The world feels lifeless without them. To be fair, I haven’t played in a while, but I walked away disappointed after being so dedicated early on. I’ve had far more fun playing Valheim on a dedicated server with a few friends.
Was hoping for "albion online in ue5" which it could or could not become in what feels like min 7 years. Instead of adding actual content the devs get stuck on rebalancing or "perfecting" crafting systems that would be acceptable for the playerbase if there was some content to play. Idk how a mmo (more so in this scale) gets out of early access without fishing and or mounts https://playpaxdei.com/en-us/news/information/future-of-pax-dei-a-letter-from-the-team The last update i found for reads like this for me - we know what you would like but here is what we do. For me its a pretty crafting/building simulator but sadly nowhere near a state where you play a mmo
