They claimed they wanted it to be "non pay to win" and technically it isn't, but it is ''pay to play the game as it's supposed to be played''. They started slowly with horses, then moved to furniture, and now storage space. Who knows? Maybe in the future, they'll start charging real money for basic tools or items. Storage is a huge deal in this game. Before the "pay to get more storage" update, they used to give free storage space to all players with every major update (meaning a new map with new items). They would just bump up the limit, for example, from 5,000 to 7,000. Now, you have to spend real money if you want more space. Since every new map brings a flood of new items, I doubt they're going to keep giving out enough free storage to keep up. Players were asking like crazy for more storage, and with every new map, the devs would say, "We hear our players, so we're upgrading the storage." -_- They HAD! to upgrade it anyway because of the new maps and new items! These devs give off the exact same vibe as the old Overwatch devs: "Oh look, we hear you guys!" (if you played Overwatch back in the day). If you just want a simple game to relax and play without thinking much, you either have to pay real money for basic storage (or idk maybe basic mechanics in the future?) or find something else. And it's not cheap either for the price of extra storage, you could easily buy 2 or 3 other full games. I really liked the game and even spent money on skins A LOT of money (stupid me), because back then, it was genuinely fun, even as a solo player. But after all this? Nah, I will never support a free to play game with my money again. One more thing: even if you do spend money to buy skins and other items, expect to deal with bugs and glitches sometimes, and good luck dealing with their support team. From love to hate. Thanks Singularity 6, Palia WAS a good game.

This game is lame. I have attempted several times to try this game because I saw there was a patch. So I load up and I am STILL STUCK in this stupid rock. I am using a keyboard I even tried a controller. STILL AM STUCK IN THE DANG ROCK. I have also tried the unstuck button in settings AND STILL NOTHING. I can't even just delete my character and start over. I DO NOT RECOMMEND
Was a fun game until they started forcing sexually motivated lgbt stuff on people. At first it was just a little blurb about including everyone, but now it's being forced everywhere. No more room for normal people.
i love this game and i have been playing for a little over a year now. but they are getting more and more GREEDY! They promised never to add pay to win. That their in-game store would be cosmetic ONLY. but what have they done? They added a way to upgrade your storage capacity. Costs 5 bucks per storage upgrade which meaning you will have to pay $125 to upgrade it fully. Then they added a new mount that give you and your party a boon BUT you have to pay $30 bucks to buy a license to ride it. And this is on top of adding the Pet courier p2w they added in one of the last updates. Then there is the fact their cosmetic items are already very expressive costing up to $50 for a single outfit. I cant defend how greedy the devs are starting to get. I understand needing cash to fund the game but really Singularity? I assume its only going to get worse from here so i cant really recommend the game as it is.
p2w trash avoid
Disgusting paywalls and over priced DLC. Crops take forever, the ranching sucks. Everything wants you to spend 10 hours a day just to get stuff. No. Its a no, don't bother.
This game is easy and fun for a little while. Its free to play but it pay to win everywhere in shops, no solo session, very grindy and repetitive. Limited chest options. Some quests are time gated( not a fan). I would not recommended this game to kids with all the romance options( you know what I mean) they have in this.
Game always looked nice & interesting, but it became P2W. Also cosmetics are pretty pricy. You better off just buying some cozy game and you gonna get lower priced or free cosmetics and most importantly not gonna get P2W mechanics in the game. I would say avoid.
i have been playing palia on and off for a couple years. i loved the game, the cozy vibe and meeting new people was great. However the bugs with some of the quests not getting fixed, the overly priced currancy and items in the premium store, and now there is an add pop up before and after you leave the store page and paying for added storage is a huge turn off.
