Such a beautiful game with emotionally affecting moments that still is really rough in some spots. The gameplay doesn't always communicate what you're supposed to do for a given puzzle or fight, so it can be frustrating as you figure it out. That and the story, for all it's fascinating twists and turns, leaves too many important questions unanswered to feel like there's anything satisfying. It crosses the line from fun speculation to "what was the whole point?". Plus it falls hard into the trope of "none of this would have happened if characters shared even a fraction of a sensible amount of information". So while I do recommend it to anyone in the mood for a gorgeous pixel game with fun shooting and platforming, I really get twisted up with how it could have been so much greater.

This game is literally a Ghibli movie. Story, characters and design are its best features, nothing to say. Gameplay was cool in my opinion, but the game is pretty easy overall with some difficulties over time. Some people might not like it, but it worked well for me. Even if it was a short, I had a great, emotional and unforgetful experience

Charming game! Art is absolutely amazing, and the gameplay is enjoyably challenging.

I actually found out about this game after its soundtrack was included in a Humble Bundle I purchased. The music was really nice, so I checked out the game. It's super charming and a lot of fun, with some beautiful pixel art and some creative navigation and puzzles. I enjoyed the cast of characters who kept the story lively and Otus's facial expressions that did all the communicating he needed. I thought early on that the platforming would be really limited since Otus can fly, but challenges still existed that were pretty fun to overcome!
