Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I love typing games since they help me keep my skills sharp. This one feels almost too much in some ways. ex. I regularly type 90–100 wpm. I can't play this game on the highest difficulty because the sheer amount of visual clutter just ruins the experience. I wouldn't use this game to teach typing to someone because of how much non-typing you'll be doing to survive, but as someone looking for a challenge who is already a skilled typist? I think it's good enough to merit a thumbs up.
The Good: +++ The engaging fast-paced action typing gameplay is a lot of fun. I don't know of any game that does it better, or even at all. (If you happen to know of any, please do tell.). The game forces you to navigate to avoid terrain hazards and obstacles while fighting (typing) off an onslaught of various enemy types with interesting mechanics. + Cool techno dystopian aesthetic. + Very adjustable difficulty level from hunt-and-peck typist to pro touch typist. Most of the fun comes from beating your level high score by turning on difficulty multipliers to beat your personal or the community highscore. The Bad: -- The level minibosses (stage bosses) are often recycled, making for some repetitive gameplay. - The story is predictable and uninspired. So definitely don't play it for the story. - The word database seems to be lacking: you'll feel like you type the same hundred words again and again during a run. (Only the boss fights seem to offer unrecycled words.) - The game doesn't seem to be optimized that well. It'll strain your hardware more than it should for what it offers. Overall: Pick this up if you can get it for very cheap and you like fast-paced typing action or simply want to practice typing in a fun way.

Really fun game, but honestly it's so frustrating. Eventually enemies start sending out attacks that require pressing letters to destroy which really isnt that bad until you're stuck partway into another enemy's word. You press everything you need to press but nothing happens. Honestly I would summarize this entire game with You press everything you need to press but nothing happens.

If you enjoy typing games and want one that will keep challenging you, Outshine is exactly what you're looking for. I found this game from a great review on the website SideQuest and I like what the author, Michelle Caldiera, had to say about the game. If you're on the fence, I'd suggest looking up her review. She talks about how the speed forces the player to play instinctively, it gives you no time to think or doubt yourself.
great & intense game! excellent exercise if u want to improve ur typing speed. greetings from a pantaloon subscriber, got my key from them! :)
Outshine is the third typing game I've purchased by Fishing Cactus. I absolutely fell in love with Epistory and Nanotale but could not get into Outshine as easily as I did the others. The game play is much faster paced and focuses more on the play and less on the story and I think this is where it fell short for me. After the amazing storylines of both Epistory and Nanotale I was a bit disappointed in the lack there of in Outshine. It's a good game and worth the try if you like the pacing and the not so obvious story so give it a try. If you want a game with more story, charm and a slightly slower pace then try one of the others, either way you won't be disappointed.
Outshine is a unique and stylish typing-based action game that demands quick reflexes, though its content is not very long.
It's the only Typing Game I've currently got in my library. It's outstanding well. The WPM I create more then doubled since I started, that didn't even take an hour. For barely 4€ it was a great deal. And I can recommend outshine for a game of that genre, so that you have one. Among hundreds of games. 1 Typing game. That's something like Outshine. After barely an hour and ones through the easiest difficulty I want to recommend it to myself for even more game time. Get that as an addition to my outstanding library was a wise choice. You might need to pay a fullprice of 12.99, but you could argue that. With 3,89 it was realy fine to me. By having nearly 400 Titles, I have nothing alike. That's exactly something I've been missing, and is of a different kind of game then the others I have. It's a huge bettering to my library for 4€ and that's why I recommend you might do the same and get it at a discount. It's something to wishlist for. I'll see, when I look and need to look for better. It adds a genre to some librarys potential, and among the games to have, this is one as well. Edit: After having been through it. I realy recommend it as a game. It's a great piece in my library and might be in yours as well. It might be close to exactly what you look for in a game of this kind. It's realy well made. It offers higher and lower challenge. I just got aware of it in this sale and recommend getting it for 3.89. 12.99 will still get you a great game. The opportunity to play it is well worth both. Right now as I write this they didn't ask for 12.99, which was to my favor. Wishlist to get informed about Discounts on it, if you better want to wait the difference in price. Grabbing it on sale was a wise choice to me, and in my oppinion is to other players as well.
