Outlast 2 introduces you to Sullivan Knoth and his followers, who left our wicked world behind to give birth to Temple Gate, a town, deep in the wilderness and hidden from civilization. Knoth and his flock are preparing for the tribulations of the end of times and you’re right in the thick of it.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 6.43/day in the week to Aug 18 → 18.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

One of the worst sequels I've ever played. From it's bad gameplay designs, to the identity crisis of wanting this to be two games at once; despite neither one being good. For some reason also wanted to try being an open world map game, so this game has the worst and most unnecessary sense of direction that serves zero purpose. Character backstories are hamfisted, the 'scares' in the game is just 'how many loud sounds can we blow the players ears out with; followed with your 159th chase sequence in a row. Their biggest oopsie was including a recorded long drawn-out pedophilic rape scene between a Priest and a child (as if minutes of audio was needed to infer what was happening, its pretty damn obvious to any one with two working braincells), before receiving justified backlash where they tried to hide it. It features someone that is what I assume to be a trans woman, but its done so poorly I can't tell if it's making a mockery of transgendered people, or if this was some writers fetish. Either way its very strange and left a foul taste in my mouth. There is barely any follow up to the last two games, save for an out of bounds 'easter egg' that many people didn't find. The entire thing is just very 'how edgy can we be this time?' while also trying desperately to be Rseident Evil 7, but falls flat on its sad little face. What a huge let down of a sequeal to an otherwise great original. How embarrassing.

This Was Pure Brutal, This Whole Game Made My Adrenaline rush like crazy, Will Still Prefer OUTLAST In Chase Scenes and Jumpscare But Still One Of The Scariest Game I've Played. I Give This A Solid 9.1/10

Now I love this game. Its mechanics (stamina not included) are so good. But, I just cannot say I recommend it. I cannot stress how much I hate this games map design. I am running into enemies like every 2 or 3 minutes when I'm not in cutscenes, this game really just feels like enemy spam. I don't know if its a bug but most of the time no music plays in chases. And I also don't know if this is a bug, but I cannot beat the mines. The enemies just camp the hallway I need to go into. I COULD run past them if they didn't one shot me everytime I got in a 5 feet radius. This game isn't scary, the only thing that ever gets me is the loud noises that hurt my ears. I am never thinking "run run run!" like I do with Outlast 1. The storyline of this game is also only understandable after watching a rundown of it. Now I won't say this game is bad in its gameplay.. But I lack the feeling of being scared in every part but the ones with the dude with the flaming arrows. Also, this game likes to crash if I alt tab it for over 5 minutes. And the death animations in this game are really cheap looking, the one part of this game that LOOKS bad. But I do love the camcorder in this game, I love the nightvision. I love the sprinting speed too. Character design is also cool. Bandages and batteries are placed nicely, just common enough. The sliding is kinda cool. This game is cool.. I mean, I would give it a try if you liked Outlast 1 alot. But I wouldn't buy this game at full price, its not really worth 20 dollars. ALSO, severely lacking stealth sections. This game is all about running, if stealth is what you liked about Outlast 1, don't get this.
