Ostriv is a city-building game that puts you in a role of a governor of an 18th century Ukrainian town to challenge your creative skills and management abilities.

Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2/day in the week to Aug 17 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game is an okay Banished knockoff that is basically broken. /after 56 hours the game crashes before launch, there is no fix, I've spent almost as much time trying to get the game to simply open as playing. Beyond frustrating. Maybe, doubtful, it could be good if it was actually finished.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 19: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Amazing Alpha and so much potential! The focus on optimization is very clear and runs so smoothly. I can't wait to see what else will be included in the game! I hope the family tree/history becomes a larger aspect of the game.
I love the desired path system of the game. Paths being created by your people eliminates the need to plan where roads will be while also allowing you to create a town that actually feels organic rather than just grids. The game itself reminds me a lot of banished but more forgiving.

I spent more time writing this review than I did playing the game, and I had more fun writing the review than I did actually playing the game! The game is incredibly slow. Even on the highest speed setting it takes forever for anything to happen. One of the first things the game tells you to do is build 8 houses and your engagement with this assignment is to just click the house button 8 times and place 8 houses and then wait for 10 minutes (on the highest speed!!) for this to be done. Nothing else can be built until these 8 houses are done. There is no other interaction you can have with the game while these 8 houses are being built. You have to wait. I was initially amazed by the complexity of each building step, as the game has like 5 building progression bars per building, you can see every time lumber needs to be brought to the building, and then a separate bar for when they nail the lumber, then a separate bar when they lay down the thatch on the roof. Very cool! Sadly none of this is necessary. Unfortunately it's downhill from here. The game tells you that, because you built 8 houses, you ran out of thatch and need a thatchery to get more thatch. Okay, let me build that! Oh, because you built 8 houses, you ran out of nails and you need more nails to build the thatchery, build a smithy to get more nails. Okay, let me build the smithy. Oh, you need coal for the smithy to operate, build a coal mound to get coal. Okay. What if I refund the game instead? This is the early phase of the game, you have 25 people and nothing else to do so you have to just sit there and wait 15 minutes for all of these things to be built. On the highest speed. This loop isn't fun nor is it organic. The text on everything is also incredibly small, you basically need a pair of binoculars to read what youre building. Also whenever you place a building down to be built, there is no "framework" to show you *where* you put it. You gotta put down 8 houses, but now do it without knowing where you placed the other 7 houses. Every other game in existence puts a little square indicating where you just placed your building.
