Fantastic little game to play with your friends.
good game build tower get big hit robots boom tank explode yay
It's good stuff, especially if you already enjoy/enjoyed youtd from Wc3, then you will likely enjoy this. Was easy to dive right in because I come from some serious youtd-nerd-alert. So I knew the drill, the concept of a 'carry' tower, putting the 'oils'/potions on that, or 2 carries, one spell damage caster and 1 physical damage carry and how to balance it all with the debuffers and crowd controllers etc. So I started on the serious difficulty (the hardest there is, as far as I can see) and with endless mutation from the beginning. Did not take me too many attempts before I actually beat the game. I was pretty good at youtd, so that may explain it. I mean this game is also difficult, just like youtd on insane. You have to really calculate and time everything perfectly, and make the proper precise combinations of towers/lineup and respond quickly to waves with anything threatening and it becomes fun with the synergies and matches between unique tower abilities and the items you can choose I think for me youtd was a bit more hardcore, here you can get away with a bit more sloppyness and less optimal builds/perfection, but it is still very fun and challenging. I had barely leveled at all, or put many skill points into anything, before I was unstopple in endless and serious mode. Only because of some bug did I have to quit, though no waves could do anything, could have stayed forever. All robots just suddenly stood still, completely frozen out of range of my towers and no way to make them move again or anything. Maybe because of all my sick cc etc?! But hey we need a button/option to force out the new wave like we had in youtd, such an option could have made me continue and get more exp instead of quitting prematurely due to bug. I had 2 darkness towers with sick end game abilities that make the robots go backwards again and also a very good aoe ability that make enemies lose the special wave attribute, 2 earth towers with the ability to make a huge rolling boulder that also knock robots far back again on the lane and they can also slow, ice element with more slow, good old igloo etc... hourglass (or what it is called?) is a sick item on some of these towers with epic expensive late game abilities like mentioned lol I ended up with so much cc, slow and stun effects that the waves would get stuck and couldn't move at all lol, but if they did, they would be sent far back in the lane where they came from. I used calamity (darkness tower) I think it is called, as my carry, worked great after a lot of buffing, potions and items. I have won with a cactus carry also from earth element and there is a tower from the steel element that would be fun to try with a particular item as a main carry. Also fireball is an interesting tower along with other tower synergies and items. For some reason if I enable shake screen, it will mess up the angle of vision, making it unplayable, but I just disable shake screen and then it all works fine for me. There is no option to replace a tower, where you take over the old tower's exp with the new one, like I used to do in youtd, that was a great trick to build a carry with starter towers and replace it later with oils and exp bonuses being transfered to the new one and all. A shame that is not possible now. Also I used some towers from the light element to farm exp and to transfer exp, would have been nice to replace them later when they became level 25... but oh well, I am sure it would bring new balance issues to be sorted out, it is ok as well to just sell the towers and build a new from scratch. Overall fun and challenging, almost as challenging as youtd, but not totally. It seems like a slightly simplified version of youtd, but sometimes that can be a good thing, maybe there actually were too many items and towers in youtd after all? Instead of having 10 different items that grant bonus to trigger chances we just have 1 or 2, and that is fine I think.

It's a good, solid, fun game. If you like tower defense games i don't think this will disappoint.
I've only played the first level, but other than the tutorial dumping massive amounts of information on you; this seems like an interesting tower defense game. I recommend checking it out, apparently there's multiplayer so you can give that a spin.
fun game to play with friends
Hard to recommend to "everyone", but definitly a "good TD". My "problem" with it is, it seems ... hmm.. how shall i put it... "to much " ? I know that sounds funny, but pretty much right from the start you have to learn quite a bit of stuff. There a A LOT of different Towers, but you really have no idea what they do, or why you should build which tower, or what the difference is between them. And then there a a lot of Items for the towers, with a lot of improved Items (kinda a LoL / Dota Item System) . And you can pick a , lets call it "Race" that change some rules of the Game (e.g. more XP for the Towers in general), or more Money and so on. So basicly, the Game offers a lot of Min-Max potential, which is good on the one hand. But it does, for my taste, a very bad Job at explaining HOW you can do it. It gives you all its tools after the first 2-3 very easy and guided missions, and is like "ok, now fly ! " Then you, the player, sit there, wonder "which one of these ~45 should i build now, and which Items , out of the ~ 100 ones, make sense for it, and why. Can be pretty overwhelming. Thats a LOT of theorycrafting , which i have nothing against, but the game wants it to early, before you even understand the basics. (And i played a lot of TD Games and even designed a few myself back in WC3 and SC Days, so i wouldn´t say i am a total noob in this genre :D ) Still, the Game is well done, runs smooth , and for someone who is searching a really complex TD with a high learning curve --> You found it :D For someone who is new to the genre it might not be the right one to start with, but remember it, and maybee look at it at a later point ;) Oh, and one little thing that i had a hard time with, which might only be me : On my 4k Monitor its sometimes really hard to read the tootips. Maybe there is an Option i did not find, but the Dark Grey Font for the Values of an Attack (for example) on Grey Background was probably not the best Color Choice.
Look, I wanted to like it, I really did. But it really offers very little to the genera. The upgrade/store system is bland, there is limited content, the online play is non-existent, the UI is just plain annoying and not very polished, the game looks like 'just another unity game' with nothing that really sets it apart. Were this an add on map free for WC3 or some other game I would probably give it a thumbs up, but as a paid game, for this price point, I think there are many other better options available. Even at 50% sale I would not bother.
