STEAM REVIEW: „World War Wet Dreams 2“ – A Broken Spreadsheet Disguised as History Verdict: This game has absolutely nothing to do with real World War II tactics, history, or basic logic. It is a dry, mathematical Excel spreadsheet hidden behind WWII asset skins, where artificial rules completely insult the player's intelligence. Here are the 6 reasons why this game is a massive, misleading scam for anyone looking for a real wargame: 1. Cavalry Destroying Tanks: RIP Physics The game completely ignores armor and physics. In an open field, a squadron of 10 tanks can literally lose hit points to 3 dudes on horses just because the tankers have low "Efficiency" (fatigue). According to the developers, if a tank crew gets tired, their steel armor magically turns into cardboard, and horses with swords or basic infantry grenades can overrun them in plain sight. History proved otherwise—during the Battle of Raseiniai, a single, exhausted Soviet KV-2 tank crew blocked an entire German division for 22 hours because armor remains armor. The devs don't care; their linear math is more important than reality. 2. The Blind Scout Plane A specialized reconnaissance plane hovering directly over a hex cannot spot an enemy unit waiting in ambush (Ambush mechanic). In reality, aerial scouts instantly spotted tire tracks in the mud, scorched grass from muzzle flashes, or supply paths around artillery positions. In this game, a blind algorithm takes over: if the enemy is in a forest, your plane is completely useless until a ground unit physically steps on a landmine or an artillery barrel. This isn't scouting—it's guessing in the dark. 3. Strategic Bombers Throwing Pillows When a heavy strategic bomber like the Heinkel (He 111) drops tons of high-explosive bombs on enemy positions inside a city, the soldiers inside take zero physical damage. The game visually destroys the city buildings to rubble, but the infantry just gets... "suppressed" (scared). In reality, dropping tons of bombs completely buries everyone under the collapsed structures, and dropping a solid piece of steel from that altitude would kill someone just by its weight. In the developers' world, strategic aviation only destroys empty houses. 4. Fake History & Tech Illiteracy The game portrays the Polish PZL P.11 fighter as some sort of unappreciated masterpiece, giving it 6 air attack points against the German Bf 109 E which has 9. This is historical fiction. In reality, the Polish PZL was an obsolete piece of junk with an open cockpit, fixed landing gear, a 200 km/h speed deficit, and peashooter machine guns. The Bf 109 E had armor plating and 20mm cannons that would tear the PZL in half in a single high-altitude dive (Boom and Zoom). The devs confused the incredible bravery of Polish pilots with the quality of the aircraft. 5. Absurd "Balancing" Nobody Asked For The developers artificially warp historical vehicle stats to create "game balance." Players who buy a World War II strategy game don't want a balanced fairy tale—they want to use real tactics where superior technology crushes obsolete gear, exactly like it happened. Artificially inflating numbers to give weak units a magical chance shows only one thing: the developers failed to program a competent AI, so they gave the computer unfair, magical stats instead. 6. Can This Even Call Itself a WWII Game? No. The title World War II is a pure marketing scam. The game should be called World War Wet Dreams. If you create fantastic, illogical rules—like the logic that a boiled egg can be cooked in 1 second if you raise the temperature to 30,000 degrees—you lose the right to call your product a historical wargame. This is just chess with tank pictures, completely detached from military simulation. Conclusion: If you respect logic, real scouting, physics, and historical accuracy, run away from this garbage. It is an insult to any thinking person's brain.
The thing that really bugs me is that enemy units sneak behind and capture your supply points. You have no garrison units. No spare nits. An infantry in a halftrack can retake the whole of occupied France if you aren't very, very careful. It is beyond annoying. Leads to game losses. And on a 40 turn scenario to find you have lost due to some insignificant hamlet being recaptured does damage the game. I wish they would release a new version. OoBWWTwo - 2. That fixes this annoyance. it is good. And fun. Better than the rivals. But not perfect.
This game is genuinely such a banger if you have a spare $250 to buy all of the content. If you're a frugal consumer (or broke) spare yourself
Taiwan no 1, or I should say ROC? It's a WWII battle chess game, for more detail this game are each campaign, all players got a starter troops and some maps would spawn more troops as reinforcement, his game are like Civilization but chop the maps into small conflict, it's need more deeper thought if develop want players replay this game, and personal can't found the tutorial in-game. This game difficult are large, cause every place would prevent your troop enter, it's hard to pushing when the whole maps are half blind, this game let you dead hard and try and error till limit, replenish you troops when they enter the point or village, in this game there non transport units, most of the troop could enter in sea for themself, but the huge problem are system didn't show which are the bombard ship or infantry in sea that confused the player.
first of all yea it sucks u gotta pay so much for the dlcs but tbh they contain basically an entire game for 9-20 bucks.. i laughed at this game until i finally got into pc and pc2 GGWTE warplan etc and now that ive played it, its one of the best hex games ive played. not complicated, but not a complete puzzle game either. it hits that sweet spot of yea i wanna lead but not calculate ya know? get the base game and try it. it has the first scenario of all the dlcs so u can see what you want. 9/10 imo
great game, nice to replay
It’s a solid hexbased strategy game with a good supply system, but the AI is predictable and the DLCs are quite expensive for what they offer. Good for history fans, but wait for a sale. 6/10.
Excellent wargame !
