Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.71/day in the week to Aug 15 → 2.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've been playing this game series since inception. Death trap is ok.. I have played it a lot.. what sucks about it is how lazy who ever made the maps was.. nothing fits right.. it's just lazy.. plain sad and lazy...
This game crashes frequently, even on low graphics settings. Buyer beware.
I didn't know what I was getting into when I got this game I should have realised they were ruining it when they changed things in 3 and didn't meet their promises about it from before release but I still had faith enough to get deathtrap but well I didn't know about the game between those two or that Deathtrap didn't have an endless until months after getting it ... the game is a disrespectful departure from those that came before it it needlessly changes guardians from a class of trap to a map feature and weakens them significantly, it carries over almost no traps from those that came before beyond the ones that have always been in the game and worse than that it trys to change the formula of the game completely by 1. adding more extreme rouge like mechanics that A. replace trap upgrades and trap paths B. can't be permanently Equiped or enabled C. have no consistent triggers for unlock or activation. These Rouge like mechanics are called threads and have replaced most of the games old custom features some traps and the upgrades completely some upgrades do still exist but they are extremely basic and don't do anything other than reduce reset time increase damage or other minor effects. while some new and exciting creative features do exist and the game has expanded to allow more players to play together it imposes heavy penalties for this not only reducing the number of traps you can bring with you for each extra player but also maintaining the number of barricades you start with despite having more players and yeah I said start with you only get a limited number of barricades and you can't buy more you have to get lucky and get more from threads that some times only increase you barricades not your whole teams there is a new barricade trap that decreases the reset time of traps next to it but it takes up an extra trap slot and costs money which is in more limited supply in this game than any other due to their NOT BEING AN ENDLESS MODE ... yeah you read that right the game that's all about cool traps killing Orcs in over the top ways got rid of it's most beloved feature endless mode. this game is a mess it Knows where it came from and wants to ride that legacy to success while at the same time it doesn't understand a single thing that made it so legendary in the first place it feels like they blindfolded themselves filled a bucket with Tropes from the previous games and new Ideas threw them at a wall but didn't take what stuck to the wall but what fell to the ground instead. This game is a mess that doesn't know what it was meant to be or what it wants to be DON'T BUY IT!
Context - Just replayed OMD2 and then OMD3 and this ,in a row, co-op. We beat 2 and 3 on normal then hard difficulty. There are two games here. The first is the campaign. You fight through 3 levels and then get a boss level. Then 4 levels, boss. Then 5 levels, boss. Then 6 levels and the last of 4 bosses. At the start of each level you have to pick a debuff (such as: traps cost more money, guys hit you harder, extra wave of certain enemies, etc) This was a great experience, possibly the best so far. The game looks good and plays as well if not better than 2 and 3. There are new traps, enemies, and weapons to learn. You earn Orc bucks to spend on upgrading your traps and skill tree at an overly large home base. Experimenting and progressing is super fun. We completed it in 20 hours. If a 20 hour romp through a new OMD game sounds fun, and it is, then its a hard recommend. The mixed rating is quite unfair. Some of the things we didnt like: the levels are seemingly randomly generated but the tiles used for level generation are way too big. This makes the maps very large and mostly unused. Worse, in one boss run, you can see 2 or 3 of the same exact area youll be defending. This leads to constant disappointment as a new level loads and you realize its twice as big as last level but you are defending in the exact same tile as the last two levels. Its not a dealbeaker but it really makes the game feel small. The second game comes after the 'campaign'. We got through the 4 bosses and we expected to increased difficulty and then do it again. But thats not how it works. Now the game is never-ending and new levels are just generated until you lose. The bosses are resigned to cards to be selected as debuffs before each level. So you might not see them again if you dont choose them. The difficulty slider is 0-20. Yes, 21 levels of difficulty. We tried 20. It was nuts, we couldnt do any damage. Tried 10. same. What happened to just having a hard mode? (at least Deathtrap got rid of the terrible 5 second wave break. What a stupid way to increase difficulty -by removing the fun part- planning and setting up the traps.) This post campaign mode is really poorly thought out and I think thats what the mixed rating is from. Recall you are already maxed in the skill tree and the traps you use are maxed out. So I dont even see a grind here, its just punishment. No advancement and the same levels repeated over and over. If you came for this endgame, you will be disappointed, hence the negative reviews. if your just happy with the 20 hour campagin, youll have fun, hence the positive reviews. ASIDE on OMD2 and 3 (I dont know where else to put this): Playing them back to back was interesting. We always thought OMD2 was best. But revisiting them again and in a row changed both of our opinions. 3 is best. I knew withing a few levels that 3 was better while my coop mate took a bit longer to be convinced, but he was. The enemies in 2 are just too tanky and you spend so much time following one troll trying to drop him in the early waves (on hard). 2 also severely limits coop action bars to 6 a person (if I recall, maybe 5?) OMD3 looks better, has prettier levels, plays better, has more traps, and more action bar room for more traps and trinket combos. Now, the war scenarios are not great - they are the downside of 3. Sitting in a turret hitting fire once every 5 seconds isnt very engaging. I see what they were going for, but damn it needed a few more mechanics. Something as simple as: the longer you hold the more damage you do, or theres a sweetspot and when you let go of the barrel at that point it does more damage. ANYTHING would improve those war scenarios. And flier waves on catapult levels are just egregious.
Feels fun in the early hours and is well made, but the roguelite design holds it back super hard. It's good to see them trying something new, but having to trudge through the first levels of a run to get to the challenging later levels is such a slog. The early levels of a run are so ridiculously easy that there is basically no chance anything gets through. You just sit there bored out of your mind for 40% of your playtime, waiting for the good part to start. Once you realize this the game will sour on you hard.
Worse than OMDU, Hands down. I honestly thought OMD3 was bad but this is just embrassing, It's a downgrade to OMDU and 3. Only reason why its bought because, This studio is the only one who can make a 3D tower defense and make it well, fun and playable. You can't find no others like OMD. This is the only reason why i spent for OMDD to support them for one day, for them to bring back OMDU or something similar or better than OMDD. No DLCs, The updates were meh, challenges barely came out and it hardly makes a difference.
