Majority of the games challenge is the fact you have to micromanage everything. Trog stops working because it is hungry, cauldron is four blocks away, you have to pick the trog up and place it next to cauldron. The trog may then start working or decide it is too far a walk back to a mining site and simply sit there until you pick it up and drop it next to where the work is. Enemies in the dungeon just portal in from wherever so design really doesn't matter. Enemies walk past my brutes and straight to the orb before the brute decides maybe it will follow the enemy and fight them. There are different rooms that can be obtained from scrolls and this is neat, but just like everything else requires you to locate a minion, drag and drop them on the room to use it. If a minion is using a room they will not fight enemies and enemies will walk by them as if they are not there. So room design is basically, have everything next to the orb so you don't have to scroll to find your units. My biggest issue is the workers who can't just go to the cauldrons that are a few blocks from them to eat and also won't often return to work after you drag them to feed them. I spent more time locating workers to drag to food because the only time they use a cauldron is the first time I place it. Maybe I'm missing something, but finding my trogs to make them eat at the nearby cauldron took the majority of my time and was not fun.

ENG: Another little game of Apskeppet in PICO8, in this case a sort of tower defense with based resource gathering and a lot of micromanagement. The objective is to find 4 runes on the map while hordes of humans comes to capture the Orb. Completing it took me 4 tries and about an hour. Not my favorite kind of game, but it was a nice challenge, has some performance issues if the game extends for too long.
Fun tiny dungeon keeper! Feels more like a tower defense game than a dungeon builder. The unit AI can be a little frustrating at times, but I kinda feel like it's part of the challenge. Dragging your little guys around is fun and very important. There's enough variation in enemy types to make defending an interesting puzzle for a few rounds!
Eh, I bought it because I got carried away with the Steam sale and it was <$4. Honestly, don't think it was worth it. I'm not going to refund it, but I wouldn't have bought it if I'd played a demo first. Edit: refunded after all; tried again and it's just _not_ fun for me.
Fast-paced dungeon keeper-like -- dare I say it makes me feel like it's a roguelite? Great music, I enjoyed the cauldron logistics and mounting pressure of the human invaders forcing me to keep up the cash flow.
Shallow gameplay. Too easy to lose straight away. Minion AI is awful.
Great game. Beautiful pixel art!
Cute and fun, minor performance issues tho
It's definitely pushing Pico-8 to it's limits! A lot of fun for some short little bursts of game play and makes me wish we had more "Dungeon Keeper-like" games available!
Really enjoyed this fun little game, and I love the music too!
