Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 7 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I tried this game during a free weekend once and realized I loved it. It is just a fantastic time killer, I get sucked in for many hour long sessions. It's a simple concept, but can be hard. The goal is to gain more money than the opponents and to buy them out. Basically, become the biggest producer/exporter and win. It is very hard to get the hang of though. My best advice is to SET UP AUTO SELL. It is a godsend and can seriously speed up the process of buying out other companies if you have plenty of resources.
If you're a hardcore gamer and you like strategy games, you'll love Offworld Trading Company. I just had to play the tutorials to conclude that this game is a masterpiece. Let me quote what the designer says in the website: "I believe that strategy games should, first and foremost, constantly challenge players to adapt their play to the demands of each play session; a game with one best path to victory is no strategy game." There are so many variables to keep in mind (terrain claims, auctions, colony traits, positioning of the buildings, the resources market, resources location and distance, patents, black market, companies benefits and strenghts...) that you can't go on auto-pilot in this game. I've wanted to get into RTS games for years, and I never had the motivation. I had OTC in my library collecting dust, so I just picked it 2 days ago and installed it. This is a very unconventional RTS... After trying AOE, Supreme Commander and Planetary Annihilation, my vision about what a good strategy game is has just been spoiled forever. You have no soldiers and guns, but oh my... The tension and competition are BRUTAL. A really hardcore game with an infinite skill ceiling, which will reward the player who studies it and adapts the ever-changing market conditions. The mechanics design and implementation are super elegant too. 10/10
A unique take on the RTS genre. Instead of making units and destroy enemy base/s, outsell and outmanoeuvre them through the correct choice of production.
Very unique game you should have some fun with your friends in - would like to see a second version or big dlc of the game
Gutes Spiel
Originally, I got the game a few months after release, and was really impressed, then I forgot about its existence until a friend reminded me about this game. The current state of the game is good, and now I will make a small feature breakdown. Game is very easy to pick up compared to some other games, and is really fun when played with a few friends. Since I have played multiplayer mostly, I am interested in the MP perspective, and have played 0 of the single player, I will have an incomplete picture of the game. Currently, multiplayer as far as gameplay is perfect with the "Classic" settings, and I like to include "All HQs" so people can play whatever they want. The game makes people adapt to the current environment and monitor what the competition does, so they can offload claims to not produce a resource which is already in plenty supply. The black market helps diversify strategies and punish really greedy playstyles, forcing multiple people on multiple occasions to ff before they have even upgraded their HQ because they build a geothermal plant and got it dynamited. There are several DLCs for MP maps, and only the hosting player needs to own them, which is a huge bonus. The different DLC maps feel kind-of generic, except for the Europa map, which by itself is really unique. Masquerade also makes players go bananas, especially since we play with voice chat, and when someone gets their patent stolen, they go bananas and is really funny. Now to the problems: Lobby Games sometimes is unavailable and you need to go on discord and report and within a few minutes/hours will be fixed by devs. (can ruin a planned night of OTC) Sometimes game crashes in the mid-late game where a rehost is not already viable and ruins the game for everyone. When the person who is stronger than you just crashes and you buy out your friends, it is not a sweet victory. There are also a few bugs in the Lobby screen that are very minor, but I overall recommend the game very much.
Unique economic strategy with a well delivered sci-fi feeling. Each session has numerous twists to ensure that the gameplay is always varied and unpredictable. Recommended!
Bought at a heavy discount so would only recommend if you are not expecting to play multiplayer as it is DEAD Looks like devs have let the game die but i really like the concept of economic warfare over endlessly microing hoards of combat units to overrun the enemy base I would really like the devs to release a sequel which could add things like options, futures and other derivatives to the game with even more commodities and other changes to revive multiplayer and its unique esports league
Innovative and fun economic RTS
