About
Nuclear Option is a combat flight game set on a dynamic and realistic battlefield of the near future. Use an array of advanced weapons to change the course of battles as you intercept bombers, duel fighters, fly under the radar, or unleash the fury of nuclear weapons on enemy formations.
Each aircraft comes with an immersive cockpit featuring a situational awareness HUD, identifying nearby targets and threats. Aircraft can be flown with various controllers or with a mouse-controlled "virtual joystick", requiring no special hardware.
Experience realistic flight dynamics, with stalls, spins and g-force effects fully implemented, as each aircraft is composed of up to 50 individually simulated physics parts . A highly detailed damage model means that the condition of each part affects the way your aircraft flies.
Build your own missions using the included mission editor, and then fly your mission solo or with friends in PVP or PVE multiplayer combat.

Super addicting. Proof that good gameplay is more important than budget.
I'm pretty new to flight sims outside of WarThunder which I played a ton of on console & then a little on Steam, so I didn't know if I would be able to pick this up as fast as I did, or that I'd enjoy it as much as I did. I used to play a lot of Ace Combat games on the PS2 & 360, though mainly on the PS2 because when I was younger I couldn't afford much & for some reason Ace Combat was one of those games that was always easy to find in second hand shops. This game however, blew my expectations out of the water. I went in thinking it was just another flight sim, learn to take off, fly, fight & die a lot (in my case) but I began watching a YouTuber who was showcasing the Ibis & how to complete successful logistics run/sorties without even witnessing a lick of combat & I thought, I like that a lot. I'm 26 now & though I wouldn't consider myself an "older gamer" just yet, I still think I'm past the point of fast paced, hyper-competitiveness unless it's games I've played for decades, where it all comes easily due to muscle memory. This game allowed me to take a step back & learn slowly, even on multiplayer PvPvE servers. I died a lot crashed a lot, missed the landing strip a lot, but one thing I never did was rage, which is easy to do on other games. Nuclear Option is the perfect mix of simulator & arcade to the point you don't miss out on either front, the maps are dynamic & well made, the aircraft are beautiful, even the humble cricket but one of the most GORGEOUS aspects of the whole game is the soundtrack. I've just started getting into fighters after practicing on helicopters for a while & my GOD that Revoker OST is absolute gold. Attaching 10 scythes to your wings & racing toward Cricket at mach 1 just to fully dump the entire arsenal onto them just because you finally understand speed & immediately crash into the side of a mountain like a crazed Warhammer goblin is what this game is about. If you like early 2000's futurist aesthetics, music conducted by the choir of the God of speed & supporting developers that actually care about their game & community, Nuclear Option is for you.
